I think he's gonna be solid, but never top top elite. I still dont think he was warranted a 3rd overall pick.

idk maybe i'm expecting to much to soon.

i know. i want everything now, but yeah i should wait for him to develop.

It's very hard to say with such limited minutes. He has shown great potential at times.

Who went after him that is clearly better? Keeping in mind his limited minutes and lack of play in the years before playing in the NBA ..

4. Thompson
5. Valanciunas
6. Vesely
7. Biyombo
8. Knight
9. Walker

I think these are all the players that had a chance to get picked third, you make the call. Personally I think the jazz got it right.

He needs to increase his lift if he is going to be an elite center. He runs the floor well, has a good motor and has a good instinct to get rebounds, so he's got the potential to be an elite player but it's too early to tell.

He's 19. When I was 19, I couldn't grow facial hair.

Saying he wasn't worth the 3rd pick is just, well, dumb. Bynum has been in the league for 7 years now, when he was 19, he was raw too.

I think it's pretty safe to say he is gong to be an effective rebounder. If he is going effective on offense, he has to play like he did against the Lakers. He needs to develop a post game and inside moves. He has been improving until the last month. It's obvious Ty has lost confidence in him and he hasn't been rebounding as well. Everyone on this board better hope he pans out, or the Jazz will have blown a #3 pick.

I think Biyombo or Valanciunas could make us regret the pick down the road. Don't see anyone else that I think could do that drafted after Kanter.

He has obviously hit a little bit of a wall recently.

Before that, he was way ahead of schedule.

Am I surprised that a 19-year old who hadn't played competitive bball in essentially two years hit a wall in a condensed 66-game schedule? **** no, I'm not.

Kanter will go down as the second best player in the 2011 draft. It's hard to project what he'll average in the future since he'll be playing along side Favors, and who knows who else, but generally I view him as having 20/12 potential.

Hard to say, it's a weak draft. The only players I could really see us regretting not taking would be Thompson, Val, Biyombo. And I'd take Kanter over any of them at this point.

He has a LOT of developing to do. He proves effective a lot of the time, however he looks like a little kid when the basketball is tossed to him, wide-eyed looking at the rim and kinda lunging at scoring 2 points. I see a lot of potential, but then i really he was the 3rd overall pick, which is pretty disappointing.

Did I ever mention that he's played more games in the NBA this year than he has his entire life?
Locke has a nice story about him.

So I'm waiting until he has had more experience, maybe like 2 more years before calling him off.
