How good or bad is this Jazz team going to be??

I'm absolutely extatic over the signing of Al Jefferson. And I think that adding Raja is pretty good addition too. But it seems to me that if we are going to make any kind of noise in the playoffs, we are going to need to make another move before December. Im not really sure if there are considering trading anyone, but it just doesnt seem like its enough to do any hard core damage. Does anyone have any ideas?

Do you come from a long line of intelligent dna garbage or are you the first generation?? It actually has everything to do with the title.

You should retitle the thread. Came in here taking it serious, and found something completely different.

.....I think the jazz will win 50 plus games, be fun to watch (if you like fundamentally sound, anti-hopper basketball!) and do some damage in the playoffs, depending on how well these new players mesh together and the further development of our veteran players who've been with the team for years! One thing for sure...our defense will be better! We unloaded Boozer and Okur will be out the first 6 months of the season!

I think this Jazz squad is very capable of winning 55 games and getting to the WCF's. I think they'll start off pretty slow, but then again I should wait until the schedule comes out before I make that prediction. If the schedule breaks in their favor, they could get off to a very good start and be off to the races.

I think we'll be better on the defensive end, but I think the biggest thing will be how the leadership aspect of this team has changed. I really think losing Booz was addition by subtraction in regards to the moral of this squad. I expect to see the scrappiest Utah Jazz squad ever in 2010 (and that's pretty F-ing scrappy)!

Kirilenko for Iguodala. That would make us contenders.

Exactly Jazzman12. +1

Damn, the OP red rep me and called me an idiot. It really hurt my feelings too. I'm starting to think that I'm taking message boards way to serious. I often find myself dreaming about green rep. Yellow light, red light, green light go.

Well, I can't see them getting off to a slower start than last season.

Memo's health is obviously a concern. But even without him, that just means AK steps in for some time at PF and Fes gets around 15 mins/per - which oughta make some on this board happy.

With AK, CJ, Raja and Hayward, we're deep enough at the wings. I just hope Hayward can continut to do what he was doing at summer league - namely, be selective in his shots, knock them down when he's open and get to the line a bit. And I hope Gaines DOESN'T do what he did in Orlando: play 1 on 5, sometimes get to the line, and then brick his FT's.

53-56 wins is my prediction.

Oh yeah, and Jefferson averages 23-11. Deron 20-11. Millsap 16-9. Raja barely edges out Jerry for most technicals.

this. certainly will put us over the edge. this will make the lakers pee their pants

AK for Iguodala wouldn't work straight up. Philly would have to send more salary Utah's way... and according to ESPN Trade Machine projects the Jazz would be -1 in projected wins. Therefore I can't support this!

Iggy for AK is horrible, why do we want a slasher that cant shoot, he is like a few steps up from ronnie brewer.
