Take any stat you want then. Those stats do show more than that but you are right there are factors that might be out of the players control. Almost any major stat has been better for Exum. His per, shooting percentages, real +/-, and the list goes on. Added to that I remember watching Exum play well against them in a couple of them, including one early that Exum was the only player on the Jazz that played well. It's a small sample size and might be meaningless and just luck that Exum has had some of his better games against the clippers and Hill has played sub par or it might be a match up thing. One day, you people will realize that offensive/defensive ratings and +/- are useless stats for measuring individual player performances in tiny sample sizes.
Those stats don't tell you Exum played much better than Hill against the Clippers like you're trying to claim - they tell you how both teams as a whole played while Hill was on the court and while Exum was on the court. Which has 9 other variables going into it.
Oh no! lets jump off a cliff the Jazz lost one game! I love the over reaction of fans sometimes. The Clippers were motivated and played about as well as they could. And won by 6 whole points.
Trevor booker would have been useful bout right now, we really should have grabbed a veteran big before the deadline, but I tell yall we are holding up well as long as the three falls. Our D down low, well its not going to be pretty clippers are a bad match up all of a sudden.
Play anyone that will show effort. Game 2 was a total embarrassment.
I might try putting Hayward on Blake, and having Diaw and Favors double team the paint. Leave Luc open and make him beat you.
hell are we going to stop the Clips from scoring a billion points in the paint EVERY SINGLE GAME?
I mean, the first game was a catch-them-by-surprise kind of game since they had game-planned for Rudy and didn't expect the level of resistance they ran into when he went down. I firmly believe they thought we would just roll over and play dead without Rudy.
And even with them scoring in the paint at will we hung around in the 2nd game. Obviously we have the firepower to go at it.
But if we cannot clog up the paint even just a little bit it is as good as over. 80% in the paint >>>>> 40% from 3, unless you can jack up 30+ 3's at that clip. To equal that 60+ points in the paint, we needed to MAKE 20 3's. I don't think we even shot 20, did we?
So what do the arm-chair coaches think? How are we going to cut their points in the paint to at least 40 (which is a more respectable 3-pointer number required to match...14 makes)?
Edit: of course this goes without saying the assumption is that Rudy doesn't come back within the next few games, or he comes back a bit hobbled.
Maybe put diaw's big body on DeAndre, and use Favors as the free safety. Or just ask Hayward to ignore Luc. The main point is to use the extra body from Luc to protect the paint. Why have Boris be the free safety in this situation? Wouldn't it make more sense to have the better athlete as the double teamer? Doesnt make a lot of sense to further exhaust Hayward making him guard a player who loves to play bully ball in the post.

Is an 8 point loss on the road in a game we were competitive in all the way through really embarrassing to you? I mean, it sucked *** and was frustrating as hell that we never fully came back and took the lead, but I certainly wasnt embarrassed with effort or heart of the team.
They did fine in the 2nd half. The defense improved. Also it's not my job to come up with a solution. And I'm not that worried about it. The overreaction is hilarious though, keep it up.So, no ideas huh?
They lost by 8 ****ing points to a team with their backs against the wall. While the Jazz's best player shot 5-15. That is far from an embarrassment.Play anyone that will show effort. Game 2 was a total embarrassment.
I loved his energy and hustle. But he'd have been a detriment to this team not a help. With him on the roster Joe Johnson is not.I was sad to see Booker go. Loved the guy's energy and hustle. We need a dude like that.
