If you are able to get NBA LP through your cable/satellite provider, I suggest you get that over the broadband and some DVR/Tivo combination. It is way better than what LP broadband was last year.
The broadband would freeze up quite a bit. Also, once the game is over, it can take several hours before the game is available to watch. So my wife and I went out one evening with the hope that we would watch the jazz game right when we got back (after the game had finished but before we were going to sleep), however the game wasn't available until the following day. On slow NBA game days, the archived games are up within 30 minutes, but on busy NBA game days, it'll be hours before the archived game is up.
Another gripe is that last year, I lived in Iowa and had league pass to watch the Jazz games. Iowa has no pro sports teams but NBA League Pass blocked Jazz games between nearby states like Minnesota Timberwolves, Chicago Bulls and Oklahoma Thunder. Depending on where your internet provider is based, that can unintentionally blackout some games.
Fortunately my wife and I now live in Utah and so I won't have to put up with NBA LP.
If LP Broadband is the only option you have and you're morally/legally opposed to streaming games through other means, get it. If your cable/satellite provider offers it, it is worth the extra cash.
