Probably since I was 11 or 12 (I'm 37 now, so about 25 years...wow). In high school I had a huge poster of Stockton on my wall, and all around the poster I had 5x7s of the entire team with autographs (just the printed ones, unfortunately). But they meant a lot because my step-dad gathered them all up for me with multiple visits downtown and Hot Rod Hundley's restaurant. Remember that place? Mike Brown also had the fast-food joint in Sugar House where they put fries on your burger.

I kind of had a Jazz shrine in my room. The poster, pictures, the towel I had from a game, and the little noisemaker/clapper thing I got when I won tickets to All Star Saturday Night back in '94. I still remember the crowed yelling "Bluuuuuue" for Blue Edwards in the dunk contest. Good times.

I have a couple journal entries too...one with ticket stubs taped in, and another I wrote while I was watching that Bucks game they referred to last night, where Karl went nuts after the All-Star starting snub. I practically had the play-by-play written down. LOL

The first game I ever went to was Utah vs. the Sixers championship team at the Salt Palace in 1984. Van Halen "Jump" was popular.

Was following them more then other NBA teams since 1993, but started cheering for them seriously since 1996. During final years it was 3 am at night to wake up and watch then play and then go to work after cursing all night at refs or Jordan... good times.

I guess I fit in the old fart range. Sad, I have love the Jazz for almost as long as I can remember.

Since Jeff Wilkens, Rich Kelly, Adrian Dantely, Darrell Griffith, and Rickey Green were the Jazz starters. Heck, I can remember watching a young Olajuwon sucker punch Billy Paultz.

Right after Larry Bird retired. I sort of watched them before that but was a Celtics fan. After Bird retired with the rest of the team I identified with I started watching the Jazz more and liked what I saw.

Went to a few games at the salt palace. Miss that place. Once broke my hand after the Jazz lost to the Blazers. I think second round. I got mad and punched a hole in the wall and broke my wrist. My mom and dad (not sports fans) got mad and told me I couldn't watch the jazz for two weeks. I didn't bother to tell them the jazz season had just ended.;). That blazers team had Clyde the Glide Drexler, Buck Williams, and Porter.

My favorit player was Stockton, but my favorit to ranch was Jeff Malone. Always wondered how he made some of those awkward jumpers, and consistently hit them.

I moved to Utah in 1979 to work in the space shuttle program. I became a Jazz fan immediately and stayed true through the years. Stayed in the background just reading everyone's post for a time and finally joined in. Having retired first to Belize and then to the Philippines, it is rare for me to actually watch a game. That is why I get so pissed when the Jazz go through the motions on a game I actually get to watch. LOL

this is my third season. the nba isn't very big over here, but i've always liked basketball and decided i'd pick a team to really follow. one of the first games i watched was millsaps domination of the heat, and from then on i've been absolutely hooked.

I listened to games when they were the NO Jazz in the mis 70's...I was a Pistol fan that followed them to Utah...life long Texan, but LOOONG time Jazz fan....I'm 49

I started watching NBA games a few years ago and I especially followed the Jazz because of Memo. It didn't take long for me to become a fan. The team was just to great, I loved the emotions and the crowd in the arena.

My most vivid memory is of the Jordan push off in 98 series when the Jazz should've won the title because they did have the better team. Not only that but they took away an Eisley make at the buzzer of the first half that replays showed was good and gave one to Ron Harper at another part of the game that shouldn't have been counted. I remember in that series the Bulls beat the Jazz by 40 some points one game when they went on a hackathon and the refs never called anything. It was ridiculous how the NBA stole the championship from the Jazz that year. Ever since then I've hated David Stern, especially after Donaghy's book came out and alleged that Dick Bavetta was in on fixing games with the league office. Well, who do you think missed the Eisley call and who do you think was standing ten feet away when Jordan pushed Bryon Russell -- that's right, Dick bleepin Bavetta.

30 years.....

Besides the obvious (stockton, malone, hornacek, ricky green etc.) i was a really big fan of blue edwards. I remember sitting next to him in the crowd at a rocky mtn review game (when they were played at east high) and thinking it was the best day of my life.

BTW blue edwards was wearing orange pants and a green silk button up shirt with lots of gold jewelry on, it was hilarious and awesome!

This is my first year and I love it. Jazzbasketball is awesome and I can't wait for the playoffs! Bring on the Spurs!

I wasn't rich growing up, so we used to sit in the cheapest seats in the Salt Palace nosebleeds...I think the face value of the tickets were only $5. What a deal...
