How much is Kirilenko gonna lose by opting out in Minnesota??

Most of us thought it was incredibly stupid when he did that; totally unexpected. Not at all sure if he'll play again in the NBA; may just go back to Russia and pout...

Oh well, the tens of millions he stole from the jazz ought to console his tender little heart. He can buy a lot of Russian romance novels and annual cheat pass dates with the coin he already has.

He'll get signed if he is willing to take a mid level deal. There are too many teams that need a big wing.

I think he got seriously bad advice. He could have made a home in Minnesota for another 3-4 seasons. He could have played out his $10m and then could have signed a deal for the mid-level or mini-mid-level for another $5m-$15m dollar deal over 2-3 years. He should either fire his agent or he really hated Minnesota.

Yea all you have to see is that awful tatoo on his back and you know AK has a few screws loose. It seemed as though AK was the guy who thought it was a good idea. He is running out of options in the NBA if he wants to get paid.

LHM shared a story about AK before he died, it changed my feelings towards AK.

According to LHM AK approached him and asked to have his Max contract voided or re-negotiated. AK was very upset about the pressure of the contract, the financial strain is was placing on the organization. LHM told him the jazz couldn't do that under the CbA, and that it should'nt bother him, LHM also told him the Jazz were fine and would work through it.

It was clear to me that LHM was okay with AK, and it was also clear that LHM knew the max deal for AK was a mistake but wasn't incredibly bothered by it.

AK publicly lobbied for this. Derek Fisher got the treatment, so it was very possible. He also publicly lobbied for a max contract with the crux of his pitch being that he was better than Pau Gasol.

Of course he hated Minnesota no one leaves Russia for the warm beaches of Minnesota.
