What's new

How much would you bet that the Jazz will win a championship in the next four years?

At 25:1 for them to win it all in the next 4 years, Id throw at least couple hundred down. If I could spare a grand, then that.

It took a guy in upstate New York to throw down.

What does that say about you Utah commies?! I fart in your general direction!

Stockton and Malone had Jordan to contend with. It's way easier now.

The Jazz went to the finals like 3 times was it? In 20 years of having Stockton and Malone. Can't blame them all on Jordan. There may not be one dominant team like the bulls were but there are the GSW, the Cavs with Lebron, the Spurs, even the Mavericks or other western teams. Look at the Clippers for example. They have Chris Paul a great two way PG. They have an elite defensive center who is underated offensively. They also have one of the best PF in the NBA. Also have a top 5 coach. They aren't even top 3 in the west.

Dude, we're talking a team of Jordan, Pippen, Rodman, Kerr, Kukoc, Harper, etc. You obviously don't understand how incredible that team was. Jordan was the greatest of all time. Pippen was amazing, and will never get his proper credit because of Jordan's shadow. Pippen was the best wing defender ever, IMO. Rodman ate glass. Etc.

The NBA has some good teams now, but that Bulls squad were gods among mortals, bro. The first time we faced them in the finals they had just won 72 games the season before. Let that sink in. They won 69 in 96' and 62' the years we faced them. There is nothing close to a modern counterpart.

Which is why I said there is no one team now that compares to Bulls. You ignored my whole post but w/e.

Yes, but you said we "can't blame them all on Jordan," followed by how good some of the teams are today w/o Jordan. It was unclear if you thought Jordan was the team, or if you understood there were some other very special players on that team that defeated us.

I mae the point because John and Karl are champions in my book. The competition was incredible. If John and Karl played in the 2000's in their primes, they would have ten-peated.

How many times did the Pheonix suns with Steve Nash perhaps the greatest offensive PG of all time, with Shawn Marion one of the best perimeter defenders, and Stoudemire one of the most explosive post scorers in the NBA win? How about the Sacramento kings with Chris Webber? The Boston Celtics only won one. Its hard. We can't know that but we do know one thing. They have never won one, even the two years that MJ was retired they haven't won. They made the finals only 3 times. They lost to a team with Hakeem and nobody else. No way they win 10 or even 5. They might have a chance to win 3 but they also have a chance to win zero.

Jazz went to the finals twice, not three times.

The Jazz team that faced the Bulls were better than all those teams you've listed. They just peaked at the most inopportune time.

Ok so Bulls prevented two championships. The bulls didn't prevent the Jazz every single year. Even you admit only twice they met in the playoffs. You lost this debate.

blue elephant's optimism is just lol. why don't you root for cavs?

Sent from the JazzFanz app

Others say 1000:1 odds and only thing I have said about that topic is that winning championships is hard and I have lol optimism? Why don't you help the genetic pool and jump off a cliff?
