I can't for Memo to come back.

We are going to be scary good once he returns. I look for him to become a sixth man of the year candidate. He is almost the perfect player to bring off the bench. He can play either the Power Forward or the Center position, which means he will probably be the first big off the bench. He will help the dynamic duo of Millsap and Jefferson to stay fresh and out of foul trouble. He has the ability to create offense for himself, which will help the scoring ability of the second unit and not force C.J. to have being the only scoring threat of the bench. It will also allow players like Hayward and Fesenko/Elson to become role players, which should help their development. We will have a solid 10/11 man rotation that will rival any in the league. Depth Chart:

PG: Deron Williams, Ronnie Price/Earl Watson
SG: Raja Bell, C.J. Miles
SF: Andrei Kirilenko, Gordon Hayward
PF: Paul Millsap, Mehmet Okur (sub for whomever comes out of the game first between Paul and Al)
C: Al Jefferson, Kyrylo Fesenko/Francisco Elson

I think we should bring either millsap/jefferson off the bench if memo comes back at full power. He can really stretch the floor and we need better people on the bench.

Get ready for an epic disappointment oh pee. Memo is not the difference maker. You can't be serious.

Memo is not a difference maker but he will change the dynamics of the game when he is on the court. That said, it's going to take Memo some time to get back into game shape. Furthermore, I want to see him play, just because I want to see him succeed after the injury he sustained. Ive always liked Okur.

I can just imagine the meltdown on this board if that were to happen.

I was just about to mention that Sloan doesn't believe that players should lose a starting position due to an injury. Having said that, there's no way in hell you can start Memo over Jefferson or Sap IMO, even if Memo was at full power, which he won't be. He's got a fairly serious case of muscle atrophy in his left calf. I'm sure his minutes will be quite limited when he does come back, and I think both Al and Sap are playing well enough that you just couldn't justify taking the starting job away from them.

Memo is going to be nowhere close to 6 man of the year, but right now this team is in desperate need of shooters and Memo definitely adds another dimension to our offense. I expect him to make an impact for us offensively off the bench, but I'm concerned about how much of a defensive liability he might be.

I think one issue is how long Memo would play with Deron when he comes from the bench. Memo needs Deron to set him up for a good look.

Bringing Millsap off the bench now would be both criminal and stupid.

Memo will make a contribution sometime this season - that is to say anyone in the f'n league with the slightest bit of offensive acumen would make a contribution to The Jazz second team.

But I wouldn't count on anything from him until close to the All-Star break.

I'm sure Okur could care less weather he starts or comes off the bench.
He took less of a contract in '08 in order for William's contract to get extended, if you all remember.
Memo is a team player, and will be ready to contribute anyway he can.

Holy ****. Besides that Memo got extended in '09, Deron was extended in '08 and Memo's salary was already on the books when Deron's extension kicked in.

I love Memo homers.

Yeah I can't remember who he took less money for, but he definitely did.
The point is, he's a team player, and likes to be here.

By the way, what the **** is a Memo Homer?

Something you made up in between watching the World Series cut into the Simpson's, and hanging out on Jazzfanz all night?

I don't know or care how that town you're from is pronounced, but I'm gonna assume it's the same as "tool" and therefore very appropriate.

You're going to try to give me **** because you're a moron?

How is Memo not a difference maker? He'll have the perfect role coming off the bench.. insta offense with the green light type of role. He'll average like 13 points a game in the end.
