What's new

I can't remember the last time I was happy with the NBA Champ.

Actually if the Bulls lose it is D Rose's fault. Boozer does not have a big enough impact to influence whether they win or lose.

So you're predetermined that it's Derrick Rose's fault if the Bulls lose? So what you're saying is, he can average 30 and 10 on 50% shooting and low turnovers, and it would be his fault?

What in the hell????

Yep that is exactly right. Everything bad that happens in Chicago is D Roses fault. Prostitution? D Roses fault. Organized crime? D Roses fault. Bulls losing? D Roses fault. Losing at that level is always on the shoulder of your best players. They did not get there by riding everyone elses MVP season. Certainly not Boozers. With D Rose the Bulls will rise or fall.

I am afraid that it will be the Heat. They are the only ones playing truly solid ball right now. They are picking apart the vaunted best defense in the league. The Mavs/Thunder games have been sloppy and poorly executed for the most part. The Mavs allowing the thunder of all teams to take double-digit leads that they then have to rally back from, well I just don't see them rallying back against the Heat. I hate to say it, but it looks like LeBron's super-team plan is going to pan out the very first year they are together. Wow does that ever suck. It shows the sport has reached an all-new low.

I had more or less been a fan of LeBron's (he is a great basketball player...) until a couple years ago when my son was working at a couple summer programs for middle school/high school age kids through the Chicago Park District and LeBron was a featured guest. Mayor Daley was a featured speaker - the focus was on sportsmanship and education - and LeBron was rude throughout the mayor's presentation; talking, laughing, making funny faces etc. Kobe Bryant was another featured guest, and my son said the difference in their behavior was striking. Kobe was respectful, and spoke to the kids in Italian and Spanish and emphasized the benefits of being multi-lingual. At any rate, I've disliked LeBron ever since.

OK, enough of my rant. Maybe the Bulls can at least win tonight to keep this thing going....

The Mav's have more offensive weapons than the Bulls so I think their offense can overcome the Heat's defense better.

Hate to admit it, but Miami's pretty impressive for their first "coming together" year. They're in the finals. And even if they lose, it's going to be a close one.

They've already dispatched the east... Pretty easily... There's no reason to think that they won't be the team to beat in the east for the next 3+ years.

I understand that Dallas presents them with matchups they haven't seen.

But at the same time, Dallas hasn't ever been matched up against Lebron, Wade, and Bosh. Bosh sadly, is better than any big that Dallas has thus faced. And we all know about Wade and Lebron...

Udonis can and probably will give Dirk trouble. And they have bodies to throw at him. Maglore, Udonis, Bosh, and Anthony. Even Lebron could be placed on Dirk from time to time...

I'm all for Dallas. But Miami is looking impossible to beat.

Save for Heat fans and David Stern nobody wanted them to win anything this year. But now it looks like that worst case scenario is a real possibility. Brace yourself.
I didnt expect the Celtics to wimp out like this. Hoping still that they push it to 7.

And now the Bulls wimped out.

It is always a tough call for me, between Heat and the Lakers, as to which team I would rather NOT see winning the title. It will be a shame if LeDouche wins it. Real shame.

Noah said about Miami that "Their Hollywood is Hell".

If anyone translate, I'd be curious as to what this means.

pretty sure he was referring to the way the Heat, with their acting ability, sold some of the Bulls' non-contact defense as contact and got to the free throw line (in particular, Rose's "foul" on James towards the end of the game, where the camera showed James winking at the Heat bench after the foul was called)

and in part also just all the drama surrounding the team beginning with LeBron's "announcement" and through the "crying" comments at all - - just a lot of drama like Hollywood, ya know?
