I could get the USA off foreign oil and almost eliminate pollution.

Note I said reduce our dependence on fossil fuels-we need hydrocarbons for plastics and most manufacturing processes.

As was mentioned before- IMO natural gas is likely to rule the energy market in the US for the next 50 year.

It's a great thing to strive for, but you're powers that be in Washington will never let mid to lower class Americans become energy independent without their regulation and guaranteed extra taxes involved.

I'm FOR natural gas, just like I'm for solar, wind, and geothermal energy..... but there is just nothing in it for big time politicians.
