What's new

I had a dream the Jazz drafted Devin Booker.

Can Dennis Lindsey really be considered a basketball wiz after one of the biggest drafting blunders in recent memory? Lyles over Booker?

Sure Lyles helped us move up in the draft last night but it also shows the Jazz already gave up on him and it increases the pain of that decision.

I wouldn't consider him a wiz. He did get Gobert at 27, though, convincing Denver to sell him a pick. And Mitchell could be a bust while Lyles excels in Denver. There's always that risk. But I don't think Trey was going to turn it around in Utah. Didn't his agent say Lyles wasn't happy about being drafted by Utah?

Contrast that with Mitchell's attitude. Sounds like he's willing to go through a wall for the team. And he loves the city of Utah. Wasn't Malone equally challenged geographically? That's a good sign, right?

My only question is, would Booker had the same success with the Jazz as he did with the Suns? The Suns gave Booker free reign and do what he wanted, so I don't think the Jazz would have done the same, they're too uptight with things like that. It took Gordon and Rudy 2-3 years to finally be given free reign of sort on the Jazz.

I think booker is a good player but he's been given the green light to chuck up shots all day. There is no structure to the team.

Booker is overrated. When you look at advanced stats, he's not that good. You just lose too much on defense.

Obviously he's still better than Lyles

Booker pretty young iirc
