I thought Bell and Howard were going to have microfracture surgery?

I thought a few weeks ago these two were going to have very serious surgeries done to their knees? Now that the Jazz are in the driver's seat to make the playoffs, these two are suddenly healed? Did they find some healing spring or visit some amazing religious leader?

If they needed microfracture surgery, why aren't they having it done NOW? If they really didn't need it, then why have they sat out so much?

Howard had a bone chip or something like that in there and had his knee cleaned up. Not a real big deal IIRC. He was always targeting coming back sometime right around now.

Bell's situation was a lot more vague. I think his knee issues are more serious, and he hasn't been under the knife as of yet. I don't recall ever hearing about microfracture for either player though.

That's what I thought too. They both probably sat out cuz they were pouting. Now that they see we are playoff bound they wanna play. I bet they didn't think the team was going to do it.

As far as Bell is concerned, had he not sat out I don't think the team would be in the playoff hunt right now.

Go away Bell, you suck!

If Raja Bell gets any non-garbage minutes for the Jazz, Corbin should be fired. On the spot.

This doesn't go for Josh Howard. His play has been erratic this year, but I have never questioned his commitment. The same can't be said about Raja Bell.

all they said about microfracture was that it was an option for bell, but that he was seeking extra opinions to see if he could forego that type of surgery. howard's surgery was a scope.

So I haven't really found any articles about this... But I thought I had read/heard on the radio that Howard's first doc said that he needed microfracture surgery. Then, he went to New York to get another opinion...

Raja I thought was needing microfracture surgery as well.

Anyone else remember this?

Whatever. I'm not expecting anything from either of those guys. Would Ty actually play these guys in the playoffs?

If Bell plays a single minute of any game from here on out then Corbin needs to be fired. Howard always targeted coming back about now. But Hayward, Burks and Carrolle are all far superior players to Bell. Hell I'd rather play Favors or Millsap at SG before playing Bell a single minute. I really don't think Howard should play either. But would not be nearly as upset if he did.

I'm just bracing myself for Howard's return...... will this be a reason to NOT play Millsap at the 3 and thus to play Favors less? I swear to god, if that happens I'm coming to SLC in person to wring some necks.

Maybe we as a forum can raise money for Bell's surgery.

As far as Thrillers opening question. I heard the same to, Howard was supposed to be out for the season, but was going to get a different opinion, then I heard nothing after that. As far as Bell goes, the first opinion said microfracture surgery would be needed to fix his knee, then he said he was waiting on a second opinion that would say he's fine, then, all I heard was he said he was feeling okay to play, and to "ask the Jazz", why he's not playing. ...

What I really think happened was KOC was trying to tank the season by putting the veterans out with "injury", but as we all know, the veterans are actually worse than the young guys, so when the young guys got to play more, they actually won more games. Now that the playoffs are a real possibility, KOC is "untanking" and getting his full roster back for a run in the playoffs...which means chemistry's going to be shot, and we'll start looking like *** again, right as we were just starting to figure it out as a team.

Repped.

if we "look like ***" in the playoffs it's because we're going to have to play 4-7 straight games against the spurs or thunder.
