Maybe. next year it is top6 protected instead of top 7. If they finish int he bottom 5 or something like that and we lose the pick this year what is to make us believe they will suddenly be alot better? I'd rather land it now with a better draft.

I think no matter what happens the rest of the year, I think The Jazz have illustrated the fact that they're on the right track. Mainly in that they have 4 very young guys who are appear to be legit NBA players and tons of cap space available in the near future.
As far as Wins and Losses are concerned rebuilding happens in 4 steps.
1-Learn to win at home
2-Learn to win on the road.
3-Learn to consistently beat the **** teams and play at least .500 against the elite teams
4-Learn to win in the playoffs.
Realistically, the Jazz are establishing step 1. So they have a ways to go.
Whether they make the playoffs or not this year is not that important. If I had my way, I wouldn't mind another lottery pick.
I think next year, a 6-8 seed is a reasonable goal.

I think it is that if we do not get it this year (top 7 protected) or next year (top 6 protected) then it becomes 2 2nd rounders. One in 2014 and 1 in 2016.

Not quite.
Top 7 protected in 12 and 13. Top 6 protected in 14. If we don't get it in 14, then we get 14 & 16 2nds.

Playoffs started today (and of they always do in January!) Jazz are the 5th seed playing San Antonio. I like our chances with Manu out!
I also wish.....
That the Jazz would win every title from here on out
That the Steelers didn't get Teblowed on Saturday
That I could have stayed in Vegas for another week
That I hit the lottery
That I could throw a football over those mountains right there
That I could own a monkey
That I could be a scratch golfer
That I could work on a golf course and get paid 150k a year
That I could redo some decisions in my life
That I could have been 20 lbs heavier in college and could run a 4.4 and continued to play college football
That I could get a BCS playoff
