What's new

I wish the media would STFU about the New York JEST already

LAST PLACE

SLAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The last play of the game was hilarious too. WIDE OPEN and didn't stretch the ball for the first down. ROFL!

Most Jets players took Lewis' comments in stride, although some thought it was funny that he compared the Ravens to the Los Angeles Lakers. That came in response to cornerback Antonio Cromartie, who compared the Jets to the Miami Heat.

"If y'all are the Miami Heat, we've got to be the Lakers, because we're looking for multiple rings," Lewis told the Baltimore media.

That "performance" will deflate their Woody Johnson.

That was horrible. They're so busy taking the ball out of Sanchez's hands that they can't do anything else. I'm still trying to decide why Cromartie was still on the field. His backup must be horrible.

I just got back from a bar full of deflated Jet fans.

The Jets are the equivalent of Lucy Van Pelt holding the football and their fans are Charlie Brown - no matter how certain they are that this is the year, they always end up flat on their ***.

Oh man, that must have ruled!

Wait, you're not a Jets fan, are you?

Hells no.

My best friend is a Jet fan so I kind of keep it on the down low; but it was a thing of beauty watching that team lay an egg last night. I've always dis-liked the Jets but now I downright despise them thanks to the blow hard Rex Ryan. I've never seen such undeserving hype in professional football as the 2010 NY Jets.

Didn't Cromatrie have an INT in the game? I didn't watch the whole game but I noticed on D some of the best players where a Dolphin Jason Taylor and then a Ute Sione Pouha, I'm not saying but just an observation from a biased non Jet fan.

Oh and I saw/heard the clip from Lewis last night after the game was over, oohh man that made me laugh. Not a big fan of his but he is always good for several sound bites every year.

Cromartie had an INT - he also had two interference calls against him; one of which directly resulted in The Ravens only TD.

That interference call was on the rookie corner (Kyle Wilson?), not Cromartie. The Cromartie interference call that REALLY hurt the Jets was the one on the 3rd and long deep pass with the Ravens held up against their own endzone late in the 4th. He did have one or two others but it was the rook that was their achilles heel more than anything...well that and their God awful passing game.

I still can't believe Dustin Keller had a WIDE open lane to get that first down but didn't even bother to try. He must not have realized it was 4th down which is just sad in any game let alone one of that magnitude. The same thing happened in the Chargers-Chiefs game right before the half. How can you be so oblivious is beyond me.

This was a weekend for bonehead plays. The Cowboys not taking a knee just before half and the Keller play were two of the dumbest plays I have seen in the nearly 40 years I have watched the NFL.

The Jets going under 9.5 wins for the year was the biggest lock of this NFL season. Seriously, that better have been one of my three or four locks for the year. I'm pretty certain it was but I'm too lazy to check.

It's too bad that Hard Knocks doesn't go through the season. First, the Ines Sainz stuff would have been great. Then imagine the conversations between Ryan and Schottenheimer today.

Rex: "Hey Schottie, do you still think about what you'll do when we win the Super Bowl?"
Schottenheimer: "Oh yeah. It's still a dream to give that ring to my dad."
Rex: "Well, with your ****ing ****** ****ing offense, it's always going to be a ****ing dream. Start calling some real ****ing plays and throw the ball down the ****ing field! Now let's go get a goddamn snack."

I think they have been exposed as the slapdick mother****ers that many thought they might be.

Play Like a Jet! Run out of bounds without getting the first down! Throw the ball 2-4 yards at a time! Decline a penalty and then give up a defensive holding! Eat cheeseburgers on the practice field!

Its great to laugh at the Jets. I think they're getting killed a little much though, and I'm a Dolphins fan. The Ravens are a VERY good team who many are picking to go very far, and the Jets only lost by 1 point.

+1
Ravens just might be the best team in the AFC this year. Colts looked a little questionable.
