....found another interesting take on the lockout...and subsequent ramifications of an owners laden settlement. Sounds to me they want 3 stars on each team and then a bunch of YMCA players to round out the roster!

"That's not to minimize the significance of the team concept, but rather to enforce the reality that in a sport where five play and one or two are mostly featured, the supporting casts tend to stand as overstated, at least when it comes to the need for inflated contracts."

I actually wonder if 3on3 basketball might be a better way to go.

Guess who's back...back again.....

It's my fault. I made some comment about Pistol Pete's highlights not being as exciting as today's players. His radar went off and he came flying back.

P.S. Believe it or not, carolina and I used to post at JazzFanz.com 10+ years ago!

I saw a shirt yesterday that reminded me of the NBA. It was a Nike shirt and I **** you not it said, "Talented but Lazy." Could be the NBA slogan and it's backed my Nike.

...all time best 3 on 3 team would have been the Suns back when they had Alvin Adams, Paul Westphal and a kid named Davis, who's first name alludes me. He was quicker than lightning, and Westphal and Adams played the best pick and roll this side of Stockton and Malone!

Disagree. Run TMC takes the cake here

...who were those clowns again? I know Webber was one of them and Hardaway? Who was the 3rd guy? Couldn't beat Adams, Davis and Westphal, though! Too much speed and definitely too many brains to get beat by that threesome of hoppers! They'd bait Webber into settling for jumpers and Adams and Westphal would pick and roll them to death!

Ummmm....no.

Tim Hardaway
Mitch Richmond
Chris Mullin

You probably don't want to let Mitch and Chris "settle" for threes.

Other contenders: Kareem, Oscar Robertson, Bob Dandridge

Jerry West, Elgin Baylor, Dick Barnett

Bird, Mchale, Dennis Johnson

Could go on and on. I suspect Westphal, Adams, Davis is not the answer.

Parker, Ginobili, Duncan

Stockton, Hornacek, Malone

Jordan, Pippen, Rodman

Wade, Lebron, Bosh
