What's new

If I told you how you could watch every Jazz game in HD on your computer for free.......

Have you no morals? Do you not care about the livelihood of the employees of the Larry Miller group? Not just the players but the employees, the cameramen, the sideline reporters, everyone behind the scenes, they all are paid by proceeds from ticket and cable charges. I don't know what you do for a living, but how would it feel if you lost your job because someone started offering whatever you produce for free?

Wow, this was going to be sarcastic, but i actually meant every word. Piracy is wrong, and no, I don't feel comfortable watching the pirate movies, even the cute ones.

I don't have a problem watching pirated stuff here's why.

1. I would love to pay for NBA league pass broadband and watch the Jazz from the comfort of my home legally and legitimately. The problem is I live within 150 miles of SLC so, most of the games would be blacked out.

2. I don't have cable television service nor will I. I can watch stuff legally from all of the major networks' websites (for free) as well as Hulu (also for free), Amazon Video (mostly for free or cheap) or Netflix (don't have it right now, but would if I was "desperate") I watch A LOT of tv shows and movies, I see most of the films in movie theaters and I see most of the tv shows from their websites or hulu. The one area where I can't legitimately watch online is Sports.

3. I don't want to go to the arena every time there is a home game I want to watch, that gets expensive, fast.

4. If there is a "pirated" stream somewhere. Someone is watching it "legitimately". Do you think about the livelihoods of those camera people/producers of the Jazz broadcast (or any sports broadcast) when a lot of people who "could" be watching the game don't? How many people pay for sports programming and don't watch every single Jazz game or every single sports event? I would say that cable companies are getting their money and so are the Jazz and Jazz broadcasters. If they weren't, then you wouldn't be able to watch games as it is.

5. If more people watched pirated streams, maybe sports would get off their "hey, let's black out these games for fans that want to spend money on our product". Attendance to games are not suffering. Making Blackout regions 150 miles from the arena is ridiculous.

When I don't have any problem forking over money when the product is worth my time. Right now, I will pirate stream any sports event. They are not making it easy to have me as a customer so I'll watching illegally. I don't lose sleep at night over not paying 150 dollars a month for cable just to watch Jazz games 6 months out of a year. Sorry.

I always love the "I don't wanna pay so I ain't gonna" angle to try to legitimize pirating.

Does no one here remember Western Sports from last year? That has to be what he was talking about.

That's not quite what he's saying. If I were a Raptors fan, I'd watch pirated streams, but I'm a Jazz fan, so I purchase LP Broadband (international).

That's all it comes down to. It's too expensive to go to games. It's too expensive to pay for cable. He doesn't want to pay for service rendered so he pirates. Watching the Jazz (with the exception of these blasted preseason games) is VERY EASILY accomplished where he lives, and he refuses to pay for the right to do so and thinks he's somewhat entitled to watch the Jazz anyway simply because he doesn't want to pay the asking price for it.

I don't like the price of a Mercedes. Should I steal one while spewing righteous indignance?

I don't feel entitled. I go long stretches without watching Jazz games or just listening on the radio. I refuse to pay for cable because it isn't worth it to me. I refuse to pay upwards of a hundred dollars a month just to watch Jazz games. Not when they can stream it online and I could pay a fraction for it there. Television shows aren't "blacked out". I don't understand why sports are. The only answer I can get is "so people attend the game at the stadium". That isn't acceptable answer any more in the world we live in.

I'm perfectly fine paying to watch Jazz games. But I won't pay for cable TV. I would pay for league pass but because I don't live far enough away from SLC, the games are blacked out. I won't be bullied into getting a service I don't want (cable) just so I can watch 1 team.

It is a matter of cost. I have no problem spending 150 dollars for a season. I won't spend that each month. That's way above what I can/willing to pay to watch games.

Morality aside, can't compare stealing a "service" to an actual physical product. If you have to ask why, just think for like 4 minutes about it first.

Look it...Its not even worth getting into at this point. I dont know what Western Sports is but this involves downloading a player that shows every NBA game and thats it...If I could just delete this thread I would....If someone can tell me how to delete my Jazz Fanz account I will also do that. You can stop PM'ing me with the threats or name calling....

How about just share the info here? If it's good, you'll get props .. if it results in you being banned, you won't have to figure out how to delete your account.

How about this for arguments sake...

How about teams that use public funds to build stadiums? That's like the citizen got bullied out of his money and was forced to pay for it. I don't remember if Larry H Miller got public funding or not. I wanna say that he did. But I am not sure. Someone help me here. With that said, shouldn't the people have some sort of right to watch. It isn't really free is it?
