If Kings are trying to take Cous, trade w/ Minny

This will never happen b/c the Jazz front office is not this aggressive:p

Damn, give us their choice of Jefferson or Love
Scenario #1:
Jazz- 4th pick(Cousins) and Jefferson or Love, probably Love for
T Wolves- 9th,Memphis, Tomic, KK2 and maybe the Matt Harp or Brewer exception
Then buy a mid pick to get a Babbitt, George, Pondexter,Anderson or even Henry if he falls

W/Milly
D Will, Price
Matthews, Korver
Miles, Ak, extra pick
Milly, Love, 55th pick
Cousins, KK, Okur

Scenario #2
Milly, tomic, KK2 and Memphis pick.
Then buy an extra pick to get a big like Sanders, whiteside, Seraphin, Orton

W/out Milly
D will, Price
Matthews, Henry(9th pick)
Miles, AK, Korver
Love, extra pick, 55th pick
Cousins, KK, Okur

Why do you do this- You get the best big in college who is either going to be absolutely dominant or could be a bust, but you take a chance. You also get most likely Love who they are willing to trade, lit the Jazz up last year, great heart that Sloan loves. This allows you to let Booz walk and maybe keep Milsap unless you trade him in the deal. By the deadline, you may even get a great deal for AK too

Why Minny does this- They want to get rid of their big combo of Love/ Jefferson. They also have extreme interest in Ante Tomic. They also have to talking about shopping the pick.

I'm down with this trade. The Timberpups might even be dumb enough to do it. I'd give them 9+Millsap+Harpring's Corpse for 4+Jefferson.

Since they're trying to shed salary, they might be dumb enough to do it.

I got to think Minnesota could do better than that deal. Jefferson & their 4th pick to fall back to 9 and get a bunch of fillers and save money? Don't see it.

If your serious which I can't tell then thats horrible for Minny. I'm sure they would take my deal over giving up 2 first rounders AND JEFFERSON for Wilcox(Equivalent to KK2) and Prince(Lost his game)

That's funny. I think it's a great trade for Minny. They then have two top 7 picks, get rid of Jefferson who's redundant since they have Love at the 4 (Jefferson is not a true 5) and his contract which sucks by getting two guys whose contracts expire.

#7 > #16 & #23

Prince is in his last year, right? I think it would be a good deal for Minny. I don't see them doing it though.

AND a lottery pick
Prince is expiring
KK is not Wilcox. KK is a Flash player for god's sake.
They clear the 42 million owed to Jefferson over the next 3

Another thought...

Since it looks like Minnesota is willing to trade away Jefferson for an expiring. What about Jefferson + 4 for AK + 9?

Heads up for everyone thinking we can trade away players, draft picks and our trade exemptions - we can't. The league does not allow us to trade our trade exemptions with players or picks for that matter. Ultimately, making things a bit more difficult since we would have to either trade them to someone looking for cap space (giving us more cap space and further into the luxury tax) or for a draft pick straight up.

Sorry didnt see the 7th pick and didnt know Prince's contract is expriring, not a bad deal after all.

I like your deal Chad but maybe throw in Ante Tomic just so they do it.

Dude, think of a front court of Milly, Jefferson, Cousins, Okur, Fes and maybe a veteran or the 55th pick. That would literally contend with the Lakers for sure. Then if you could just buy an extra pick and get a George/Babbitt/Henry/Anderson or even Aminu if he falls but doubt it

D will, Price
Matthews, extra pick(Henry)
Miles, Korver, veteran
Milly/KK/55th pick
Jefferson/Cousins/Okur

That would be a title contending team right there. Someone kidnap KOC and tell him to read the board and try some of these deals. You would have great pick and roll play w/Milly and excellent post man in Al and much better D with Milly and Al in than Booz and Okur. Then you got great size off the bench in Couz and KK and scoring in Henry and Korver.

People complain about Boozer's defense and then want Al Freakin' Jefferson? Not only that, but he's a cap killer. Holy hell.

Does any deal approve you Darkwing? Al is much better at D than Booz. A lot of games he got 2-3 blocks and I think against the Kings he may have had 5. I would take Cous and Al over Ak and #9 any day of the week. Who gives a crap about the cap, that would be a contending team w/ the Lakers, you cant argue that one

So what? Boozer got two or more blocks eight times during the season. Boozer is also a better rebounder. The difference in defense is negligible at best and Carlos is superior offensively. You also way oversell Cousins ability to contribute like a veteran when he'll just be a rookie.

Who cares about the cap? How should I respond to that?

And as for deals "approving" me, the only trades that realistically make the Jazz better short term and long term and aren't lateral at best at the ones other teams aren't going to make.

So your saying adding Jefferson, Cousins and maybe buy an extra pick and get one of the many talented wings wouldnt help the Jazz?

And I am thinking Cousins will contribute immediately cause I watched a lot of games and saw the way he dominated every1. Only thing in the way of him becoming great is his tude

When I said who cares about the cap, I meant to say if your contending then the cap isn't as big of an issue.

Booz may be a better rebounder but we can replace that with Milly and Jeff combined.

Did you think of this- Who played better against the Lakers the last two years- Milly!!!!!!
Who is much cheaper, younger, has more heart, plays better D and produced almost identical #'s as Booz when he was hurt- Milly!!!!!
