If Kings decide to trade Jimmer potential suitors are Jazz, Suns

Yeah.. I have this bad, BAD habit of connecting Utah and BYU. I know, I know .. I KNOW. But everyone I work with everyday are BYU fans (please send sympathy rep) so it makes me tend to stereotype Utahuans.

Utahuans lol Your poor co-workers :)

Jazz still have $2,339,040 left of the Okur trade-exception by the way. Maybe a swap of Watson for Jimmer, or we take Jimmer for cash or a future-2nd round pick?

I certainly wouldn't give up much. Makes fantastic sense from a business perspective, but I have to believe KOC is smart enough to avoid the side show.

Ok, let's be reasonable about this; is Jimmer better than both Watson and Tinsley? I think he might be but perhaps only just. As we have seen a LOT recently, the Jazz are good at finding players that are being misused on their current teams, and Jimmer definitely falls into this category. Jimmer is earning about 2.4 mil per for the next three years assuming his team picks up the option. The combination of Earl and Tinsley is roughly three million. If Jimmer preforms say 33% better in a system instead of one on one basketball, then I think he's better than any backup point guard we have.

There is one problem, and it's the hype that follows him. I don't think the Kings can give him away for nothing (aka Raja) and I don't think they would feel they got value with Earl and/or Tinsley, and there isn't anyone else on the Jazz that we would feel comfortable letting go of, so unless the Kings want to get rid of him just to get his salary off the books, I doubt anything happens, but I wouldn't mind it if it did...

By the BYU fanatics. Jazzfanz would be all over Jimmer. Numberica would change his most hated player I'm pretty sure.

It's possible. It depends on how much of a god damn sideshow the zoobs make the whole thing. I doubt the Jazz would be forced to tailor the offense to accommodate his 20 shots a night exactly where he wants them, and they wouldn't be paying him close to the max.

This comment goes out the window when the ESA erupts with boos when he gets benched for sucking.

Can I just say that one of my favorite single-moments of last year was Jimmer airballing that game-losing shot and then whining about it?

If I pretend to be serious about the idea of acquiring Jimmer, the biggest problem I have is I want nothing impeding Burks playing the alpha dog role. Yeah, he'll make his entry passes and set his screens and run his curls. But getting Burks loose on the PnR or greenlighting him to drive is where he takes his next step. Since Jimmer can only really play 2 at this stage, he doesn't fit. And as Jimmer learns the point, he's going to be a ball pounder. Also not a fit.

We all know the minute James nails a 40-foot shot when we're down by 22 points with 3:02 left in the 3rd, all of the noob fanbase will flock to the Fanzz store to secure their Fredette jersey...which will actually end up bankrolling Greg Miller's car-selling cadre for the next two or three middling seasons...while the rest of the real fans are basically waxing our balls wondering what the **** happened to my team.

*sorry/not sorry to channel carolinaJazz*
*life is tough for this Jazzfan in Brooklyn now that Sharon Williams plays in my ZIP code*

Well if I was saclesstown I wouldn't want to anger the fans any further by shipping a lotta pick away for nothing, on second thought when did the maloofs care about the fans. They are taking the team to Seattle in a year any way.

What I would trade for Jimmer is

Tomic
Murphy ? Maybe still considering this.
A couple seconds
A first that is top 20 protected
SnT miles or Howard
maybe in a 3 way but would have to think about it.

Jimmer = 14 day honeymoon make 2 week!
