he woulda been happy in Mormon soil, comfy in Utah.

the heart yearns for DAME in jazz purple. … yearning is desire …. Ah , I daydream ….

We didn’t have a first rounder, and for two reasons. 1) we decided it’d be more valuable to get swept by the Spurs and have to convey our pick elsewhere in the process and 2) GSW took their tanking to crazy heights so they could squeeze the 7th pick. We would have gotten it if it were the 8th, and if you’ve got that plus another lottery pick, you may be able to move up.

But if you’re suggesting we passed on him, that didn’t happen. Only very indirectly.

Nobody wants to hear your facts, man.

I thought we had a pick that year but Lillard went and had a great March madness run that upped his stock significantly so that he was drafted before our pick. But I might also be old and senile at this point.

It's easy to think we had a pick that year because we spent the whole year thinking we'd have two picks. It was only down the stretch that GSW really tightened up the tank and put themselves in a position to have a coin flip determine if GSW got the pick or if we did. Needless to say GSW won that one. I forget who we owed our own first rounder to, but it was lottery protected.

We don't have the draft pick in 2012. Should've taken advantage of Billy King more. Only if we knew the man was a complete idiot back in 2011 when we did business with him in the Deron trade. Could've easily gotten 10 unprotected firsts from him. Missed opportunity for sure.

Blazers didn't have the first to draft Dame either. Until some all-time dumbass GM called Billy King came in and traded Nets first round pick for 6 month rental of a washed Gerald Wallace.

Teams like the Jazz dont tank. Tanking is as punk move as going to join a super team..
