I'm talking about taking out a crappy person, like a drug dealer or child molester or someone like that. $10,000? $50,000? $1,000,000? I have not been offered anything like that but my friends and I were talking hypotheticals and this came up.

Yeah, I guess I have no problem with drug dealers. But like pedos or spouse abusers, stuff like that.You gotta factor in risk of getting caught and going to jail though as killing terrible people is still technically illegal.
 
I don't think I'd kill anyone, unless I knew they were about to seriously harm me or someone else.
 
I probably wouldn't just kill someone for money.

Unless we are talking about the kid behind the announcers at Jazz games. That one i'll do for free.

And I find the notion of the "bad guy" pretty lame.

You say "drug dealer" and think you know who that person is and that they are a villain. I think that's an overly simplistic way to view the world.
 
Risk life in jail? Real life isn't a comic book and you are not the punisher. There is consequences for killing people no matter who they are.

you need to remember this is 4 drunk guys watching a basketball game so yeah, its pretty simplistic.

But my answer is the same. I wouldn't kill anyone for any amount of money. I don't want anyone dead. Not even pedos and drug dealers. I want to protect the innocent from harmful people, but not through extermination.

A totally fair stance. I also don't want 99.999% of people dead. Some though, I wouldn't lose any sleep over it.

The idea of Justice will always have some aspect of vengeance to it. I don't mind a little extermination. I can see circumstances where I would hold no moral judgments against someone that committed premeditated murder. Legally they still have to be held accountable but morally sometimes I'm fine with it.

If someone is paid to do the deed greed becomes a motivator and I can't accept that as a morally acceptable reason to kill.
 
If I had a chance to kill osama pre 9-11, knowing I could prevent alot of innocent deaths or kill Hitler and prevent the extermination of so many people then I would definitely do it.

I think 100,000 is a good amount
 
Depends on the person.

Do I get to choose? Do I have to cover my tracks or am I legally allowed like in "The Purge"? Trophies? Specific manner of killing?
