What's new

If you were not a Jazz fan who would you nba team be and wht?

Lakers. I'm already the black sheep in my family for liking the Jazz, so I would just join the crowd. I think it would be a terribly long transition though. If the Jazz stopped playing ball today....I think I could be a fully fledged Lakers fan by age 50 or so.

I'm sorry Duck but I'd rather stop watching basketball than be a Lakers fan.

I grew up a Laker fan, but there's no way I would go back to that dark place. I would probably stop being a fan of the NBA. I'm halfway there as it is.

The Tankers? Ugh...no thanks

It has a lot more to do with the Bay Area than with the W's themselves. That franchise has been a 40 year long train wreck. But I find them much more interesting than the rest of the teams in the league. Well, OKC is interesting and fun to watch, but at this point I would just be a bandwagoner.

This. I am slowly becoming less and less engaged with every NBA season. I'm still a Jazz fan, still watch the games and even get to 3 or 4 at ESA, but they sit in fourth place behind Utah Football, the 49ers, and the SF Giants.

Why Bulls of course. You would all be Bulls fans, if they were in SLC and did not have a history like the one that is still now.

I should write the actual ones. I always loved 76'ers, Supersonics and now that they're in Brooklyn, Nets.

Celtics, then I would be a 100% Boston sports fan.

Then maybe the Warriors since I now live in the Bay Area.

Very close to negrepping

Agreed, and I like cheering for teams with good fan bases that have dealt with their fair share of adversity. Wouldn't cheer for the Tankers though, after their debacle last season + Mark Jackson.

I would find myself cheering for another small-market, or a blue-collar team. I would fancy either the Pacers, the Wolves, or the Pistons.

^^^

Of those, I'd have to go Pistons.. never liked the wolves or the pacers .. but have liked the Pistons a couple times in the past..

Not sure. I've lived in Utah, the Bay Area and now Los Angeles. I was never a W's fan, although I attended several games. And I've always despised...no, make that HATED the Lakers. By default, I've always cheered for the Clips and was so happy a few years back when they finished with a better record than the Lakers. But now that they have Paul, nope, not going to cheer for them.

I've always followed players, first, Ron Boone and Moses Malone after the Utah Stars folded. But no, I'm not a big Jimmer fan. I kind of admired Portland for a short time for the way they dumped the "JailBlazer" image and turned around the team...but Allen has screwed that up by mistreating his GM's, coaches and having Larry Miller (the other one) issue that threatening letter re: signing Darius Miles.

I doubt I'd follow the NBA that closely. Guess I'd adopt an "Anyone but the Heat or Lakers" attitude.

Yea, Chicago is above average.
I also might be rootin some for the Minnisotin AK47s this year. I hear they've got some white guys.

Hey, the Minnie Rubios are my bandwagon - if the Jazz start sucking you might catch me watching them instead - team this year. Back the **** off.

I'll just fill in when you're busy, no worries.

Lin is fun to watch too. I hope he's got a decent team around him.
