I don't think the Jazz and coaching stuff are serious about the youth movement. Despite the great draft I'm not optimistic that they want our young players to take over.
Jazz philosophy is that they don't throw young players under the bus and that experienced players are always better and that you can only win with them. Doesn't matter whether they are better players or not. This organization prefers to start veterans.
Take the past as an example. Borchardt started over Okur, Bell and Foye over Burks, McLeod and Palacio over Deron, Foye over Hayward or Burks, Williams over Carroll or Hayward, Millsap over Favors, Jefferson over Kanter, Tinsley and Watson over Burks and so on. That's fact, like it or not. Corbin always says we play the players that give us the best chance to win but what he actually does is the opposite.
I was excited about the current draft and the additions of Sloan and Malone but I'm still not convinced that the Jazz learned their lessons from the past and are ready to take a step forward.
To sum it up: Don't be too excited about next season but I hope I'm wrong...
