What's new

I'm officially coming out (I was wrong about Trey Lyles)

I really don't know, but I don't think sophomore struggles are a reason to give up on a player who has previously shown potential. To act like a dick about it the way Computer is doing is just kind of ugly and dumb.

Always consider the source with Hacl, and leave it at that. And I agree that it's dumb to give up on Lyles at this point, as I still think he'll be a good player.

However, I don't think there's anything wrong with admitting at this point that DL blew the pick by passing on Booker. I also feel somewhat vindicated as I have had many a debate on this and other boards about Lyles making Favors expendable because of better spacing. To me, it's absolutely nuts that Favors was playing at a borderline all-star level and getting disrespected by people ready to trade him and start Lyles at the 4.

I like Lyles. He sucks right now though.

Looking back at draft order freaking sucks though. This team could have a lineup of booker, Hayward, Giannis and gobert.

We missed out by passing on Greek freak and booker, but got steals in good and gobert. The pain won't be as bad if lyles and exum turn out to be OK players. Just hope they aren't busts

Still on lyles and exum bandwagon. Call me homer.

Then again, I don't like hood's trajectory and worried he has limited upside. Hope I'm wrong,

Lyles will be fine, just as long the Jazz use him correctly. Although it still kind of hurts that Booker was still on the board too.

I think the Jazz are using Lyles exactly as they should. He simply did not adequately prepare for this season. His shot could be much more consistent, and that is a matter of strength, conditioning, and dedicated practice. It appears as though he rested on his laurels a bit and took some of the summer off. His season reflects exactly that.

The NBA is a man's game. Men put in all the necessary work to be able to compete in this league, and men take home the championship trophy. Hayward and Gobert were completely prepared for this season, and they have been tremendous. So far, it appears to be a manhood issue with Lyles and Exum. I think both will turn out just fine.

So, you like the one that showed promise and has fallen flat on his face and you like the one that hasn't done a dammed thing in three years. But, you don't like the one that has actually produced like a real NBA player.

Glad you're not in charge, Homer.
