What's new

i'm quite disgusted with the NBA refs tonight turning a blind eye to westbrook's actions.

Agree with Cy. The rule is designed to stop players from running into a fight from the bench. I wonder if a Jazz player like Ingles or Gobert had been the offender if the letter of the law posters would be insisting the Jazz player be suspended for a game.

In a league where popular players get special treatment, the Jazz are always going to get boned. This was ENTIRELY special treatment. Wastebrook left the bench (not checked in=bench, dillweed) in order to CAUSE problems. That isn't a technicality, it is EXACTLY why the rule was made.

Jazz better be 30 points better tomorrow, because the fix is in. If it results in an injury or a Jazz suspension during the Houston series, Cy can talk about "whining" then.

If any Jazz player left the bench, it would have been a suspension.

Fix the rule or enforce it fairly.

CJ McCollum got suspended for going to his teammate... Russ was headed in to be a fake tough guy... if Gobert goes back at him there it escalates...

It violates the spirit and letter of the law... just eliminate the rule but don’t decide arbitrarily that a player checked himself in and didn’t violate the rule.

This is a symptom of a broader problem... “stars” get better treatment on the court and it’s garbage...

Dog, Gobert gets special treatment every game.

Ummmmm okay. Like when he got a T for getting his bits slapped or when guys put they elbows in his chest and he gets whistled for a foul.

When he set a million illegal screens every game.

And just because you got your dick hit doesnt mean you have free reign. He probably said something and he got T'd up.

This is so dumb....

I really cant believe people are making this out to be a "star" thing. It isnt. It's a 'its the ****ing playoffs" thing.

I bet if you went to a OKC board they would be bitching about the refs favoring the Jazz. It's super annoying to see either fan base say these things.

The refs called Westbrook for his 3rd foul in the first half when he didnt even foul Rubio, his teammate did. I guess they were favoring the super-star Rubio there?

You know what I love when being up 3-1 in a series? Having fans have a victim complex about refs favoring stars!

It amazes me how much you guys still let Cy get to you.

He’s a contrarian that gets off on arguing with you over the dumbest ****. Between this and his newfound “Go get PG!” kick, he’s playing you guys like a well tuned instrument.

I’m not surprised by the decision, but I am disappointed that the NBA is essentially rewarding his bad behavior and poor sportsmanship. He should’ve been kicked out of the game last night. His childish antics will get someone hurt and then everyone will be pissed that the NBA allowed it to happen. . . at that point, it’s too late.

Rubio is in his head, Mitchell is in his head, Jingles is in his head. They’re toast and he knows it. **** him and his years of basketball purgatory after the Jazz wreck them tomorrow.

You could call what Ingles is doing as poor sportsmanship that has been rewarded also.

The difference is the physicality. I’ve got no problem with the trash talk. I’ve got no problem with physical play. It’s the pushy shovey stuff and outside of the whistle stuff that they were pulling over and over again. Comes across as desperate and bordering dangerous. I think Westbrook in particular should get called out for that. That’s all.

On PG's first technical foul, Paul George was standing behind the line getting ready to inbound the ball and Ingles steps on the line and gets right next to him. You are suppose to be like a foot from the line in those cases. There are a lot of instances of Ingles doing stuff that could be considered over the line of what "sportsmanship" should be.

People are just making way too big of a deal over stuff OKC is doing when Utah is guilty of doing similar things.

Didn’t actually have a problem with PG last night. Or Adams. Thought they were fine. Didn’t think Felton’s nutslap was intentional.

The only one I thought was out of control and slightly dangerous was Westbrook. He was trying to start **** and escalate things all night. I’m actually surprised with how level headed the Jazz were with his childish antics. Would’ve been perfectly reasonable for somebody to knock his *** out with all the stuff he was mixing up with.
