In praise of Jingle Joe

Jingle Joe, Jingle Joe, jingle all the way
Oh what fun it is to watch,
A three-pointer on the way,
Hey ...
Jingle Joe, Jingle Joe, jingle all the way
Oh what fun it is to watch,
A three-pointer on the way.

Passing Alley-oops
The Slo-oh-mo lay-ups
Bantering with opponents
Keeping Dante calm
Doesn't Doc wish
He didn't cut Joe
We're so glad he did
Now we can say ho-ho,
Oh ...

Jingle Joe, Jingle Joe, jingle all the way
Oh what fun it is to watch
A three-pointer on the waaaaaay!

TS% leaders this season.

1st: Tyson Chandler--70%.
2nd Rudy Gobert--70%
3rd: Joe Ingles--66.7%
4th: George Hill--66.7%

We keep doing this and getting Hayward's A game and step our d up just a little bit in the post-season and we can do something really special this year.

Ingles has been fantastic this season. I still remember when a bunch of guys on this site claimed he wasn't an NBA player. LOL

Bizarre hypothetical that has no basis in reality: If DL told Exum the Jazz won't resign Ingles unless Exum played better... would Exum play better? Would he use the threat to fuel his game?

The word you're looking for is stupid.

This is some top level, man love, crushing going on here.

Yeah, these sites are full of lemmings - one guy with some rep says it, must be true. I've always thought he was a poor man's Larry Bird. Not the fastest guy or the highest jumper but he's got a really high BBIQ, great mechanics, ambidextrous, good passer, excellent shooter with range and extremely fast hands (evidenced by his high steals rate). Also the cold blooded competitive heart of a Larry Bird IMO.

If Joe Ingles was given Andrew Wiggins' body, he'd be a Hall-of-Famer. If Andrew Wiggins was given Joe Ingles' body, he'd be playing cats at the YMCA Friday night after his shift at Home Depot.

Wiggins has worked his *** off way more than ingles. Ingles would have a better body if he worked on it. I like ingles but this is a silly claim. All reports about Wiggins his whole career is what a hard worker he is. Ingles has never been a gym rat, he has too much fun.

Would Ingles keep his head and get Wiggins body, or also get Wiggins head? Wiggins head is so freakishly small, that I think the reduction in weight allows for few extra inches of vertical.

It's not about work, it's about brains and athleticism. Just like Wiggins can't develop a better feel for the game through hard work, so Joe Ingles can't develop a monster vertical through hard work. Don't be fooled by folksy wisdom about inspiration and perspiration. Being in the NBA is all down to talent. Hard work plays a very small part.

This thread is an absolute gem. I love Joe. Aside from his solid play this year, he's one of those guys who helps the other players love their team, because he facilitates fun and friendship. That adds to his value.
