Irving/Hayward Press Conference - Hayward jabs at Jazz

good thing Fleeward has his bosom buddy stevens to go to for comfort when the "smart" fans get after him.

At least it is not philly where they booed santa claus

I heard him and Brad are going to use the old IT jerseys as "finishing" slash "cleanup" towels after one of their coitusing sessions.... I mean training sessions.

It's long been tradition that any news about former Jazz player is permitted in the Jazz forum.

I was just being dismissive of the troll... I understand.

I think it is true. I have lived in both Utah and near Boston. Overall, I give the Boston Sports fans the advantage in their knowledge. Both places are homers but Boston has a great sports history. I agree the Boston fans are spoiled and will crush Hayward and Irving if they don't produce. While Jazz fans are passionate, if the Jazz lose people go hunt, play golf or go to church. Besides the Jazz, Utah only has the BYU vs Utah rivalry overall major sports wise it is pretty lame. I love Utah don't get me wrong I enjoyed my time there but Sports-wise it can't compete with Boston.

As far as the player who will never be mentioned, he is gone and I don't care about his career. I want to beat Boston bad but beside that I don't miss him. Just think Donovan probable wouldn't get as much time nor Exum if Hayward was still here. There are minutes and opportunities for others to step up. I am excited about the Jazz and the future. Mr. Boston got what he wanted and now he better step up or he will look like a fool for leaving. I won't hate on him because if I do that means I care. I don't!!!!!

Man another 13 year old girl pining for the first boy who dumped her in Jr high. Move on people. The point of this article was really that Hayward checked out of Utah the year he went into restricted free agency. He is a whiny little bitch that held a grudge for all those years. He's gone people. For ****'s sake move on already.

Half the forum still isn't even over Kanter. Hayward is going to 10x the hurt feels so you better get use to it.

He's right. Celtics fans in general are more knowledgeable about the NBA.

Also, I'm happy for Hayward. He looks like he's found a better situation for himself. Sucks as a Jazz fan, but I'm already pretty much over it. I'll still be rooting for him to do well in Boston.

Nah, I'd have to disagree. Most Celtics fans I've talked to don't know that much.

celtics are going to be really good in this atrocious east.

i really wonder how they do though, because they have 1 closer, kyrie. They lost a lot of production now. I hope the cavs crush their ***. IT is gona be on a war path for revenge. He's out for bloooood.

Even if Kyrie is chucking I don't see how Hayward won't get his. Sure, he may be disappointed about not being the featured focal point of the offense, but Kyrie will need someone to help him with the scoring load and Hayward should easily get 20.

Overall, I think this trade is a win for Hayward (hoping I'm wrong). Yes, the Celtics really dismantled their team and lost their heart of their guys who really pushed them last year. I'm a huge believer in the psychology of the game but regardless, neither Celtic team (pre or post-trade) is going to be a legit contender. I believe the psychology is what pushes you over the top, but I think if you assemble enough talent, even with chemistry issues or at least a lack of good chemistry, it's enough to be a middling team. Being a middling team in the east can take you to at least the conference finals. I'd prefer the Celtics crash and burn, but Hayward and Kyrie is enough for some noise in the east, even if you're nowhere near really contending.

Here's to hoping I'm wrong.

For all practical purposes, this is a brand-new team. They have 4 players who are coming back from the team that was 1st seed a few months ago. There's only one guy in the league you could put on any team and throw into any situation and expect that at the season's end, you'll have 50-55 wins without having to do much. And it just so happens to be the guy Kyrie just broke up with.

Boston fans are some of the most delusional bunch I've seen in any sport. I used to have a thread here mocking their posts on reddit/twitter/realgm... Pretty much every single fanbase has its fair share of extreme homers and loons but the proportion among Celtics fans has by far been the most striking to me.

I wanted to be mad at Hayward for saying this, and I wanted to think he was wrong. Then I remembered that half of our fan base are also BYU fans, so......

In good news for GOT fans, Gordon Hayward has announced his availability to fill in as Theon Greyjoy if needed. As a treacherous ginger **** with a goofy looking beard Haywards lack of ********* also offers him the ability to be kneed in the nether regions and not show any pain response, a rare quality that has the producers as well as the savvy Boston fan base intrigued.
