Is anyone else annoyed

The reason why this franchise is still here in Utah is because of an owner who cared, a hof coach with a very successful offensive system, and 2 superstars who gave it their all. This franchise has none of that right now. Unless changes are made we will quickly become the raptors or bobcats of the league.
this, signature-worthy!
sadly so...

True this reminds me of presidential election where a few states control the rest of us

Only becasue the rest of the states are always blue or red. If they were more mixed more states would matter.

Nope. If the all states would just change the way that they disperse their electoral votes more states would matter. It is absolutely ridiculous that all of the electoral votes in a state go to the candidate that got the most votes overall in that state. It totally disenfranchises huge groups of voters. Electoral votes should be dispersed by congressional district, not by overall votes in a state. Think of it like electing members to the House of Representatives and electing members to the Senate. The sum of the number of members in the House of Representatives plus two (for each state's two Senators) determines the amount of Electoral votes that a particular state has. However, each member of the House is elected by the voters in their particular CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT, not by overall state vote. Only the state's Senators are determined by overall state voting. So why shouldn't the Electoral votes that represent the amount of members of the House of Representatives that a state has also be voted upon and dispersed by congressional district? It makes absolutely no sense to me why they don't do this. All you would have to do is give the overall winner of votes in a state two automatic Electoral votes (representing the two Senators from each state that are elected by state-wide vote) and then disperse the remaining Electoral votes to the candidate that gets the most votes in each congressional district (representing the number of members in the House of Representatives from each state). It would better represent the actual voting that is taking place. No longer would congressional districts in California that overwhelmingly vote for Republican representatives in the House and the Republican Presidential Candidate have to cede their Electoral vote (that, again, only exists because of their congressional district) to the Democrats just because there happens to be more people who vote Democrat than Republican overall in California. This would force Presidential Candidates to have to focus on EVERY STATE in the US because the loss of a particular congressional district's Electoral Votes could cost them the election. There, I have stated my beliefs. Even if this thread now belongs in the General Discussion category.
