Is Coach Snyder going to use a traditional 2nd unit or 3 or 4 different lineups

So much talk about Snyder having options to use 3 or 4 different lineups during a game. But usually good teams have defined roles for their players and units for a successful season and leading up to the playoffs.

If Hill,Hood,Hayward,Favors,Gobert are your starters then

Exum,Burks,Ingles/Johnson,Lyles,Diaw would be your 2nd unit

the 2nd unit would be a far superior passing team with Diaw,Exum,Lyles and Ingles and quite possibly dominate 2nd units better than the 1st unit can do to opposing 1st units.

I'm not locked into Gobert,Favors,Hayward getting 32/35 minutes a game if the good teams top 3 players are outplaying our top 3 players

I think he will play 5 guys on the court at the same time most of the time.

funny when i counted the 1st unit ,their was 5 guys
and then the 2nd unit ,their was 5 guys
couldn't have done it without your input

Snyder will use multiple lineups depending on the opponent.

I think the whole "2nd unit" thing is a myth in the nba. This isn't hockey, you don't just swap entire lineups.

Go back and listen to Lindsey's media day interview. He made reference to how Pop seems to think about his lineups like a baseball manager thinks about his pitching staff/bullpen. I think that metaphor introduces some nice difference relative to the way we usually think about things around here in hivemind.

Seriously, though, when I opened this thread I expected to read about how Exum should be in every lineup for 48 minutes a game.

the NBA is transitioning more and more into 'positionless' and the goal is seems to be 5 guys that can play well together, shoot, pass and defend.
I'd expect to see some experimenting by Snyder with our new FA's, especially with Hayward out.
