What's new

Is coin toss tomorrow?

I just hope to god they pick Perry Jones and he is ****ing terrible.

In a perfect world, they'd draft Jones who'd turn out to be Kwame 2.0, sign Beasely (or if someone can insert the closest thing the league has to Sprewell), who ends up choking Mark Jackson to death, and an earthquake topples their arena.

I hope it becomes known that Mark Jackson was having extramarital affairs with transvestite hookers and has herpes all over his junk.

Why would you want this pathetic franchise rewarded by having Mark Jackson murdered? I hope he coaches them forever.

Wow my ***.

There is world of difference between making the playoffs and tanking. no, they were not making the playoffs but they gave up on purpose. They intentionally tried to lose games. You can blame the FO, players, coach...whoever.

They intentionally lost.

I would have defended them if they would have played Thompson and Jenkins in the 4th quarter, but by playing 4 PFs for the entire 4th quarter I have lost all respect. I would even respect him a bit more if he came out and said it. He lied about it though and is a whore.

I think there's a pretty clear line between playing to develop players and allowing losses, and downright gunning to throw games. The "Warriors" long-jumped over that line with ridiculous fervor and complete transparency. What an absurd misnomer for a franchise whose made this same decision many times.

Yes. It was a classless move, clearly against the rules, and I want to watch them rot. It's pathetic that the NBA would allow this to happen. If Utah did something like that to the Lakers or the Celtics can you imagine the uproar it would have created? Instead they nationally televised the final game and turned their commentators into lackeys for the pathetic coach who claimed he would never do a thing like that while simultaneously playing the worst lineup available to him.

This is the thing that amazes me the most; apparently it is against the NBA rules to lose on purpose. If this is true, then how can they not penalize the GSW because it was the most obvious thing in the world, and it would be quite easy to prove that they were losing on purpose. I don't see a difference between losing on purpose to get out of a business agreement that you made and losing because you know someone is gambling on your losing: you are losing to benefit someone financially.

I don't understand why you guys are so mad. This just sets up perfectly for the ultimate revenge via Stern. You can almost guarantee now that Detroit or Toronto will be jumping into the top 3.

They intentionally lost.

Is there really any indisputable evidence of this? I can see them not going balls to the wall for wins but intentionally losing games?

Still does not chnage what the GS Tankers tried to do.

It will be that much sweeter, won't it.

Locke said much the same thing: "Something would be so right about the Warriors getting excited today only to slip to 8 on lottery day. Can only hope"

I also liked Jody Genessy's comments: "Warriors won coin toss w/Raptors and have 72.5% chance of keeping lottery pick, according to San Jose Mercury News," followed by "Then again, Warriors have 0% chance of keeping their dignity after the tanking they did to put themselves in position to keep their pick."

Klay Thompson being benched for the entire 4th quarter of the second-to-last game of the year.

Chris Wright.

Chris Wright actually played really well, but

Playing Jeremy Tyler at SF for the entire 4th quarter
Not playing Brandon Rush
Not playing Richard Jefferson
Not playing Charlie Jenkins for the entire 4th quarter
Not playing Klay Thompson for the entire 4th quarter.
Not playing Brandon Rush in the Hornets game in the 4th quarter after he went 3/4 from deep.

How fitting would it be that New Jersey ends up jumping GS, thereby getting their own pick plus give us ours
