Is Hayward God?

Do I dare? I feel a God triple double in the near future. Possibly even this next game.

A beautifully played game tonight. He shot well, passed the ball well, He hustled his *** off, and best of all, He locked Durrant down pretty damn well. Aside from that one monster dunk, God made KD work for every basket.

Praise be to Him.

Over the last 8 games, Hayward has been averaging 13.8 ppg, 3 rpg, 3 apg, 1.2 spg, 0.9 bpg, 1 turnover per game, 48% overall shooting, 26% 3-point shooting and 77% from the line.

While obviously not anything special, he's been showing a lot of consistent improvement and these are about the numbers that I predicted he would have this year. Once he improves his 3-point shooting his points are going to go up quite a bit too, next year should be his breakout year. Also not reflected in his stats as much is the great defense that he's been playing, he's not afraid to get physical and while he doesn't have great lateral quickness, his wingspan allows him to stay in front of players pretty well, much like what Ricky Rubio is doing as well. This is a kid who shoots well (other than his 3 shot right now), plays good defense, hustles, but most importantly plays smart and plays within himself and the team. We've got a player who is going to become one of the better all-around players in the NBA in Hayward, he's fun to watch.

We saw it last year in Indy. Haywards about to go Muad'Dib on the NBA's ***.
