Benching Hayward was a profane thing to do and we are paying for it (see Midwest hurricanes). Thankfully, our god is a forgiving god and clearly loves us anyways with 21 points.
I think that He accepted the bench demotion with humility and is using it as a teaching moment. The Bible is full of stories like this. He is a great missionary!
