Is it possible to transfer DVR recording to computers?

I have some epic games on my hd dvr (motorola all black box from Comcast) and is there a way to transfer these games to be saved on my pc or a hard drive?

I have the miracle in Miami game saved on there.
Entire Denver series (Boozer Era)
Every comeback game last year with D-will
Couple Jazz beating Lakers/Nuggets game
I even have the sundiata gaines winner against Cleveland on there.
ALL of it in HD format so it takes up a lot of space. I know I can record it in 480p, but that wouldn't look good on a flat screen :(

My DVR is reaching 90% and I would really regret losing all of this. I imagine this process to be as difficult or worse than rooting a phone. I'm not too technical, but I know how to tinker around a bit. I know Comcast doesn't want you to transfer DVR files, but there must be way!!!

Even better does anyone have any way to turn a PC into a fully functional DVR? <<<<Tuner card?

Links would be appreciated. Thanks in advance guys.

That's a good question.

I need to know as well

I had the OKC game forever when Dwill and Durant went back and forth. But I eventually gave in and deleted it.

I have had others as well but they get deleted eventually.

The Giants are my favorite football team so I have the SuperBowl and playoffs this year still and want to save them

I hope we can save them

The answer is yes, it's certainly possible. But the details will depend on your system. For example, I have a Tivo DVR that I use with Comcast cable. It's got its own wifi adapter. There's some free software I downloaded from the Tivo website which lets my computer communicate with the Tivo via wifi and transfer programs to the computer. After a show is in "cold storage" on the computer, I can transfer it back to the Tivo again whenever I want.

But I'm afraid I have no idea how it would be done with a Motorola DVR. Sorry.

Colton should spend more time stickying game threads. :p

Like Colton, I have a TiVo-branded DVR and this, my friend, is the #1 reason I elected to keep it when I picked up Comcast. Other DVRs are locked down. I transfer everything to my Mac once the TiVo records it.
