Is Mike D'Antoni Available yet?

The play that got Millsap a wide open 10 foot shot to win the game?

prove that Corbin drew it up, and then I'll crown you Burger King of ****ing Jazzfanz.

Then, we'll talk about the 12+ plays he should have run after this play failed.

Is Kevin Loughery available? I miss that guy. He would get so pissed off and then get tossed out and bitch all the way to the tunnel.

I agree that CJ shouldn't have played OTs....but Ty shouldn't be fired for every decision he makes wrong.
Do you remember a little 6 game win streak we just had? Yeah umm.....there were posts about how Ty was the unsung hero of those victories...but after one tough 4OT loss, let's just fire the coaching staff and rebuild again.

Not only did Jerry Sloan pull chuckers like Giricek but he publicly humiliated them after the game. Corbin would be wise to follow suit.

How did Jerry deal with CJ miles? I think you're forgetting who created this monster.:p

Anyway, I don't really have a problem with what Ty did tonight, up until the 3rd OT. At that point, it should've been obvious that some fresh legs could've pushed us over the top. Not subbing at that point is a major red flag that Ty has almost no ability to think on his feet. Either that, or he's been told to tank just hard enough for us to keep our pick.;)

As for the point I was making in chat, CJ was actually having a good night at that point. I think he was 5-8 and 2-3 from 3 point land. CJ has been so horrible on the road this year, I can understand why Ty might leave him in when he's actually playing well. After the first OT though, I thought he definately should have subbed him out anyway.

In all fairnes to TY, if Utah had won this game, which they almost did 4 times, Utah would be on a 7 game streak, and we would probably be talking COY right now instead of this. With as much hate as fans are throwing around, COY still isn't out of the realm of possibility, if Utah is able to get up to the 4th seed. Crazy, I know.

Devin Harris would be a beast under D'Antoni. He LOVES pick-n-roll PG play, that's Devin's bread n butter.
Harris would be a 20point-10assist player for sure, easy all star.
The team would also be more fun to watch, Hayward and Burks would also excel.
I'd love to bring in D'Antoni.

oh, if you think people moan about jazz defense now, just wait til we have D'Antoni's defense.

Lol this cracks me up! Ty Corbin's experience as a head coach is just over one year. And fanz are already bitching and moaning about him! Unbelievable.

You know the saying, freak, "live by the CJ and die by the CJ".

You're right about Ty. Had he won the game by the second overtime I would still be supportive. He crossed that threshold last night and now it's up to him to prove he can win. He doesn't get the benefit of my doubts any longer.

When he was the Suns coach, he was one of the better regular season coaches, but his style of offense doesn't work in post season. In NY he was just plain bad. Also to say Harris would get 10 assists a game is idiotic, and short bus worthy. If Harris can't even get 5 assists a game in the jazz assist friendly offense, how will he get 10 in D'Antoni's offense?

This is not an assist friendly offense for a point guard like Harris, who gets most of his assists from pick and roll/screen plays.
The 1st, wnd, 3rd, and 4th options on this team are to dump it into the post and let the bigs play inside out.
It's an assist friendly offense if ur a big man w. a post game, i suppose, but not for the PG who's job it is to basically walk the ball up the court and dump it and watch.
Also, the Suns would have most likely won a title had it not been for ridiculous circumstances like Amar'e being suspended in the playoffs for leaving the bench.
At the very least, he has proven that he CAN win in the playoffs. Plus, players love his style of play and he's got Olympic gold--both of which would help draw free agents, a problem Utah has faced many times before.
Sure he hasn't won a title yet, but it's not like Corbin has been stockpiling championships either, and ur beloved "jazz offense" and overall system has won a grand total of zero championships in history, so perhaps it's time for a change.

We do nothing but post up play because Harris is not a good passer and not good at setting his teammates up. He's not good in pick'n roll unless he is driving to the hoop for a layup or taking a jumpshot. Last year before Deron was traded all we did was pick'n roll. When Harris took over the offense changed dramatically to more one on one and post up because that's his style.

That's his style? That's why he's struggled in this system more than he ever did in Dallas or NJ, where they used heavy pick-n-roll offenses?
Isolation is his style, definitely, but how can you say "post up" (for bigmen) is his style? how is that anyone's style? throwing entry passes to big men is his style? srsly? Such an odd thing to say.
LOL. Ok pal, whatever you say. I've been following Devin since he was a Badger, I think I may know a lil bit at what he excels at.
And I know there was more pnr with Deron, that's also what we need to do more of with Devin. You've seen it more recently, and the improvement in Harris (and the beautiful increase in alley oops) is proof in the pudding. Harris is a team player so he won't demand the offense run through him like Deron did, but the coach has to be smart enough to utilize Devin as well, and not just use him as a manager who;s forced to defer on most of his plays.
I don't see how anyone can make the argument that Devin or almost any other PG would do better under TyCo's system than D'antoni's, who is arguably the greatest offensive coach of all time! You can argue it's fundamentally flawed, and imo it would be a poor argument, but it's not really even debatable that most any PG, and especially a PG like Devin would fare much better under D'Antoni than TyCo the tyrant's anchored down "offense" with shackles.

D'Antoni made Jeremy frickin Lin look like the 2nd coming of Magic Johnson for goodness sake. Even guys like Chris Duhon and Toney Douglas have had great games in that offense.
I don't think Devin averaging 5 more assist a game in his offense is out of this world at all.
