Yep and Sap has already been saying he is a starter, wants his minutes, wants his money and is pretty much demanding the jazz either pay him or trade him.
I know isn't that rhetoric exhausting?Prove it. I double dare you.
This isn't directed at Numb who I know gets it, but to anyone else who thinks Sap doesn't want to come off the bench...
Of course he thinks he deserves to start! (he's proven that already) And of course he's going to say it because you don't make it to the NBA as a 2nd-round draft pick out of Louisiana Tech unless you have alot of confidence in your ability!
If Utah's frontcourt development gets to the point where it's necessary Sap come off the bench (and we're not anywhere near that point yet because while Favors certainly could handle it, Kanter still needs to improve significantly before you pigeon-hole a starting spot for him) I am extremely confident Sap would be willing to do so if it was in the best interest of the team. Don't forget he willingly came off the bench the first 2 games last year, even though it became apparent that Favors wasn't quite ready for a starting role then.
Saying you don't want to pay Millsap an 8-figure salary is understandable, but saying he would demand a trade if he doesn't start is purely a personal opinion - and an incorrect one at that.
