Is There A Disadvantage In Finishing First?

Second round of playoffs starts in a few hours, you finished first AND STILL DON'T KNOW WHO YOU ARE PLAYING!

Let's get to the facts as to why that is happening.
Answer: the NBA does not care at all about the Jazz.

fact 1 - you rarely get nationally televised games
fact 2 - you never get Christmas games
fact 3 - you finished first and you don't even know who you are playing!

Let's face it, the NBA and all fans know the Jazz are nothing more than a Sunday morning beer-ball softball league team. I've been on those. You show up to the field Sunday morning and wait for another team to show up. When those guys arrive, you say, "Oh, that's who we are playing." That's the Jazz - a Sunday morning beer-ball team. Twenty minutes before a big game, the Jazz are going to have to peek out of their locker room to find out who they are playing.

NBA does not care about the Jazz. This is how they treat the Jazz...show up at the park, sit on your bench, and just wait around to see who you play:

What if I told you that you can scout and prepare for two teams simultaneously?

Ahh, so that's why the Jazz have won so many championships.

Face it, if Dallas wins over the Clipps, the whole world will be rooting for them over you Jazz. Your worst nightmare is to play Luka and Porzingis. Luka will be averaging 38 a game.

Nah, we've got Ja Morant's dad on our side, so **** you!

So he's going to fill the Ja Morant role with empty stats and 4 losses to the Jazz? Works for me.

Uhh, you think Ja is on the same planet as Luka? Uhh, Ja isn't even in the same universe as Luka.

Bottom line is this: you either face Luka or Kawhi.
Either scenario you Jazz are toast.

I started this thread May 18th and it still rings true: first round you Jazz didn't know who you were playing until 24 hours before game time, and now second round...

you still don't know who you are playing!

I'd rather be the Lakers than you. Lakers already know they are going to Cancun. You Jazz have no idea who you are playing and where you are going.
I’d rather still be playing than eliminated in the first round hahaha

I don't know, I saw Luka make some pretty rookie level mistakes towards the end of game 6 that essentially gifted the game to the Clipps.

I like our chances.

How are them grapes? Pretty sour, amirite?

Yeah? My Knicks are already going about the business of adding parts to our team. We have soooooo many options. Getting Lillard, Kawhi, and LeBron is actually Plan B!
Uh, haven't they been adding parts for a decade? Longer? You know Frankenstein could only do so much. Maybe they are good at tap-dancing, who knows. Obviously they aren't good at basketball. Or building a team. They've had a decade to do it!

Haha! Have fun with your early summer trying to get Kawhi to go to a team that crashed and burned in the playoffs.

Plan A, I assume, is to overpay for overrated talent and then underutilize them? Because that's been the Knick's modus operandi for the last 2 decades.

Talk to me when James Dolan sells the team. Until then, 4th seed and out is the ceiling for the Knickerbockers. Only a Knicks apologist could sincerely argue that winning is a negative.

Knicks have been killing it in the free-agent market. Rose, Burks, Payton. These dudes are superstars.

The Knick organization is so bad that they can't get free agents to play in the #1 market. Sad. Pathetic. We do feel sorry for you.

We'll look back on 2021 as Peak Knicks. Back to the lottery.

And yet, we made it out of the first round. Go bear ballers! Scumps, cause the next round is on Melo.
