Said it early when everyone was soooo pumped.... say it now. Feb and March will bring us back to earth.

I would have preferred the opposite.. slow start to the season and strong finish to hopefully give the players hope. I just hope that the next few months we show promise and the players believe because a losing culture can spread quickly.

I think when all is said and done the Jazz will be fighting for 7 and 8th seed with 3-4 other teams.

I predicted the Jazz would finish the season at 35 - 31, 4 games over .500. Most people predicted they'd do quite a bit worse than that. Kanter is looking like he's going to be a player. Burks is showing real potential also. Hayward is up and down, but coming along also with more responsibility this year. It's Favors who's still trying to find an identity on this team, but at least his defense is maturing. He seemed a click late getting to some rebounds tonight, as did everyone else.

Burks is the troublesome one among the youngins. Hayward is fine, just having a little trouble with getting shots to fall. In all other ways he looks great: D, passing, penetration, fast breaks, blocks, rb, etc. Burks is out of control and does not seem to have a vision of the team game.

Well, with our earth and solar system passing through the central plane of the Milky Way at the end of its 13,000-year half cycle, the charged photon field of the galactic plane causes a reaction with our sun that in turn places gravitational forces upon the earth, leading to increased vulcanism and seismic activity in addition to potentially disruptive solar flares. Strangely, this is occurring at the same time that the earth completes its process of precession (the wobbling of the earth around it's vertical axis by 23 degrees). Should this cause a physical pole shift to occur, it would displace a significant volume of ocean water, about a half mile high, due to the swelling of the ocean around the equator (caused by the centripetal force of the earth's rotation). This would devastate most coastlines, where 80% of our civilization concentrates. So is it the end? Well, portions of the humanity would certainly survive, but we can think of it as the end of a galactic cycle.

Damn Mayans!!

Once Burks learns to use controlled aggression he will be ok. Kid has talent no denying that. He just attacks no matter what. He will learn that there are times you need a little patience. Typical kid.

Bye Cali and Florida

Well now, who has been watching a little too much History Channel? On the other hand the good news would be that the Heat, Lakers, Clips, Knicks, Blazers, Nets etc. are toast. And Topeka, Kansas et. al. may have a team soon.

Catchall, great job describing this scenario though. Did you have to copy that from another source or spill it right out from the top of your head? Maybe we should move further inland though, just in case.

I've been able to deduce this much on my own from different sources. Apparently, some gov't agencies have packed up and moved inland. Utah should be okay though, pending moving the Jazz to the newly reformed Pacific Division. I'm not sure the relationship between the earth's precession and a physical pole shift, but that's where the 23-degree predicted rotation comes from. I suppose if the precession angle were altered that would cause the pole shift.

The Jazz will mirror last year.
They were good for a while, now they will start to suck, then there will be discord.
Then there will be a couple unimaginable crazy things happen to the team (insert link to any of the dumb trade threads)... the team will continue to suck... and right at the end of the year we will see what we call good play by the team when it doesn't matter, so we will have high hopes for next year. We will get a couple of possible decent draft picks to finish things off and complete the year.

Mark it down.

Got it.

Yeah, this is pretty much the beginning of the end. Not only are we losing games on the road, we are starting to lose every game we play at home, too. Of course, if we beat the Lakers tonight, we could get back on track!

Utah should be okay though

If those types of things were to happen, Utah, most assuredly would not be O.K. We would just take longer to die is all.

You are a pure joy JazzSpazz. You make this more apocalyptic than the small things Catchall mentions.

The house is on fire!

Quick. Somebody throw cyrone torbin's fat *** on the flames to put it out.

^ Uncalled for bro...

I think we'll be fine. we have pretty solid depth and i think we'll get better in some ways as the season goes on. and if worse comes to worse and we don't make the playoffs, at least we get a decent draft pick. it's important to remember that we are a young team still in the process of development. Hayward and Favors are going to get better, and so is Kanter and Burks. adding a few more young pieces to those four won't be a bad thing too. I hope we win now. i want the Jazz to win, but if we fall out of the playoff race, i think it is still fun to watch for development. :)

After watching saturdays win against the lakers, I really think we can make some noise in the post season due to our front court depth. if we can just get some more help from our wing players as well as better play from Harris, i don't see why we can't be solid. Harris just does not seem to fit though. i almost want to see what would happen if we began playing Tinsley and Watson over Harris or perhaps only play harris one quarter and then give tinsley some time in the 3rd. either way, our front court should be the best in the league next season! I don't see why is can't be the best come next season.

i love the fact that we can finally say our front court is better than the lakers front court. that is the thing that killed us in the Okur/Boozer days. Millsap+Favors+Jefferson+Kanter> Bynum+Gasol+Mcroberts... Music to my ears!!! :)

We are just starting the discord part.
Get ready for the unimaginable crazy things.

Just sayin.
