What's new

It's happening bros...

And Middleton is younger; more likely to improve.

probably only in shooting and defense. I really doubt he ever adds an ability to put the ball on the floor, or become a distributor. At best, he is an Ariza shooting 50%/40% from the field/3 and playing some awesome perimeter D.

Ariza had an awesome season last year, and look at the contract it garnered him. Do we really wanna drop 12 mill on a player that basically purely plays off-ball? And isn't nearly the long-range bomber that the Korvers and Redicks and WesMats are? And isn't even that elite of a perimeter defender?

I want Middleton on this team. But, I'd only really offer him around Kanter money: 7-9.5 mill a year, ideally for 3 years.

What am I getting clowned in?

You're really making some ridiculous claims in this discussion
Why are you trying to make this into an argument? I just don't think Ariza is that good, mainly because of consistency issues. Is he like your 2nd cousin or something?

You having some problems today man?

I'm fine, bruh bruh. Not trying to be hostile. Just saying that calling Ariza complete *** weakens your credibility. 'tis all.

The $12mil is just how high Cy said he would go. It hasn't even been rumored that he'll get that. If Ariza is better and only got $8/per, then we are worrying for nothing.

But why are the Rockets winning? It's got to be all those darned turnovers they're creating. That team is a beast defensively. They bungle up everything the other team is trying to accomplish.

Mainly cuz of that guy named James Harden.

If Bucks don't wanna deal Middleton, what about Knight?

eww. Not a chance.

ANd he is a consistent knock down shooter. He doesn't have the high volume like some do, but that is because he actually has more game than just a 3pt shot. I think he has a lot of room to improve as his floor game improves. I actually think he is more than just a shooter.

Still-- it's possible to keep adding to your game, but still jack more threes. Why the hell is he not attempting 1-2 more threes a game if he's shooting 42% from three? It's ridiculous. I don't think there's another player in the league who gets as many minutes as he does, shoots as accurately as he does, yet only makes 1.3 a game.

But seriously, Ariza and Brewer on the wings is a killer defensive combo. It's actually why I've been so big on Oubre and getting more length on the wings. Watch some Rockets games and you will see what I am talking about.

THat was his game at A&M. His off-ball game is something he developed in the NBA.

I'm thinking that the Bucks would rather trade Middleton than Knight.

A poll on RealGM is 90% in favor of keeping Middleton over Knight. They dislike Knight much like we dislike Kanter, they view him as an empty stats guy.

Burke averaged 50% from the field in college. Things change when you hit the big stage.

I'd rather try to nab Bruno Caboclo from the Raptors. Think he's got some great potential. There have been a lot of chatter about deals for Kanter, but my favorite one so far has the Jazz giving Toronto Kanter and taking back Caboclo, Nogieria and Hansboro's expiring contract. This gives the Jazz a young wing/big to add depth, and Raptors get Kanter to add some front court offensive boost and some tax relief.

Then you just use the cash/cap saved by moving Kanter to add a FA and take the best player you can get your hands on in the draft. It's a swing for the fences move, but the Jazz were reportedly very interested in Bruno in the draft.

Burke still does the same stuff he did in college without really adjusting, taking pull up mid-range shots.

Middleton adjusted and added something different to his game which will allow him to start to show his off the dribble game.

Different scenarios. Middleton accepted he had to learn how to do the basic things that a role player does, now he is ready to expand his game.

Lots of tweets:

The Milwaukee Bucks are known to be among the teams that have interest, in part because coach Jason Kidd has had a front-row seat to some of Kanter's best games in the past two seasons. He averaged 19.5 points and nine rebounds in two games against Kidd's Brooklyn Nets last season, then finished with 23 points and 16 rebounds in Utah's lone game against the Bucks this season. Kidd, it's safe to say, took notice and would love to add him to his group that has been such a pleasant surprise this season (30-23). USA Today Sports

Jody Genessy: No specifics on Enes Kanter, but what I'm hearing around the league is that a trade is unlikely to happen. Subject to change, of course. Twitter @DJJazzyJody
