Its Time to Tank

DA said he likes to trade and likes to know what hes getting. highly possible he'll trade those FRP for a star, which means quick turnaround. I don't think he's invested in drafting and developing rookies. I think hes gonna be fishing.

We are a tank loaded with 15 missiles and 60 lbs of claymore ready to fire.
He will trade the future picks, not the current ones. The Jazz need young cheap talent on the roster and Ainge knows that.

But they can’t tank their way to keeping their pick, either. They’re just kinda ****ed.
I guess I was assuming they realized they are better off trying to get into their protected top 4 this draft given the strength of the top of this draft, and risk giving up a pick 5-10 if they dont move up, instead of trying to win a play in game and lose in he first round,while then having no rookies to dangle in trades this summer or bring into the fold for the 23-24 season to help them be any damn better. There is no guarantee Lonzo ever plays there imo

The Jazz now have the toughest remaining schedule in the NBA according to Tankathon.
I was looking at a bunch of teams schedules and picking who I thought would finish at where. Below is how I think it will roughly turn out. This doesn't take into account injuries or holding people out.

Finishing Position
1-3 = Detroit, Houston, San Antonio
4 = Charlotte
5 = Orlando

6/7 = Indiana, Chicago tie (34-48)
8 = Portland (35-47)
9 = Jazz (36-46)
10/11 = OKC, Washington tie (37-45)
12/13 = Toronto, New Orleans tie (39-43)
14/15 = Atlanta, Minnesota tie (40-42)
16/17 = Dallas, LAL (41-41)

Seems plausible, and showcases the importance of how a game or two could effect the standings. One win or loss could be the difference in a huge amount of lottery odds. Also showcases how many ties we likely see at the end of the season.

Looks pretty accurate to me. Man its a tight race though.

I keep waiting for Portland. I would bet OKC would sink below us before Portland but who knows.

It will be so close. Last night was a devastating tank night.

Lakers winning 9 more games seems unlikely ,Lakers top out at 38 max more likely 37 imo without James.
In the East it will be a collective towel throw to see who can lose the play in, not who can punch a ticket to get swept by Boston or the Bucks and most of those teams will have worse records than us.
