Jabari Parker will be better than Andrew Wiggins

Nothing to do with the addition of Greg Monroe? Or Kidd's desire to keep his best shot blocker benched?

Well I didn't say he is 100% responsible, did I?

It's not like Bucks had defensive stud players down low last year either. It's been a pretty steep decline, and it's at least partially due to playing Jabari.

I'm not claiming Jabari is or ever will be a good defender. And I do think being a good defender is important. I am confident that Jabari will be an offense beast though. And with him being so young, he's big, athletic, and smart, I think it's possible he becomes a good enough defender with an elite offensive game.

I would put more of the blame for Bucks defense sucking on Monroe. Imo, the Center needs to be one of your better defenders.
Without rim protection, it screws up your whole team defense.

Jabari is averaging 9 PPG so far this year; Wiggins is averaging 22 PPG.

Jabari gets to the FT line 1.6 times per game; Wiggins gets to the line 8.0 times per game.

Let me know if you ever wanna put some money down on this Jabari vs Wiggins debate.

Lol

How does that even mean anything at this stage?

Wiggins shoots 18 times a game and plays 35 minutes per game. Jabari plays 23 minutes a game and shoots it 7 times a game. Jabari is just coming off knee surgery. They are taking a careful approach with him.

You don't think he's actually just not getting minutes and shots because the Bucks have already decided he's a bust do you?

It isn't like Wiggins is setting the NBA on fire. All he does is score inefficiently. On a bad team. Who's giving him all the opportunity he can handle right now.

Defense is the best part of wiggins game

Maybe he's being told not to by Kidd for right now. Ya, he's gotta work on his shooting. I'm confident it will come around. But for this discussion, and comparing him to Wiggins. It doesn't make sense to harp on his shooting when Wiggins isn't shooting it good either right now. I'll point out again though, that Jabari is sitting on 52% for the year compared to Wiggins 43%

You know what I find weird. It's that Wiggins is this great athlete, but none of his dunks look all that skilled or great. Am I the only one not impressed with his dunks?

I'm so confident that Jabari is going to be great. I don't understand why people don't see it.

If the dunk goes in and counts for two points I'm completely satisfied. They don't award style points.

Are you sure about that? He averages less than a steal and block per game in 35 minutes, and the advanced metrics don't point to an elite defender either.

I'd be willing to bet you haven't even watched a game of his this year either.

He was billed as having the potential to be an elite defender. It hasn't shown up yet. Not saying he can't get there, but he isn't there yet.

That's true. But it's just another sign that maybe he's not going other be this elite player that people thought he was going to be. The Kobes, Michaels, Lebrons, Wades, etc... all looked the part in all that they did including style dunking. It may not really matter, but it does say something about his skill level.

Again, I'll point out that he only shoots 43% from the field. For all that athleticism and him not taking any chances on style dunking, it's not really helping putting the ball in the hoop better .

43% isn't that low for a 2/3. It's a little low but not bad.

But it's also nothing to brag about, and it's not elite.

I'm not saying he can't improve, it's just that Parker has to answer to his numbers, so Wiggins should too.

I think they both will improve, but I think Jabari will top out as the better player. He's just a lot more skilled than Wiggins.

Can we get an update on this claim, please...thanks.

Yes we can. So far its looking very good for me. This will be my favorite presiction to come true.

Im sure their will still be people who dont believe it, but I believe it even more.

My man Jabari Parker. Straight up beast.

Its funny the thing that people disliked the most about him was his body. He is one of the most explosive players in the league right now.

The only thing stopping Jabari from averaging 25+ ppg right now is Giannis and his super high usage rate.
