FWIW, Kas is still 3rd on my board for me, and I believe in him. I don't think there is any way he'll be there at 8 unless he totally bombs the rest of the season.

Yeah unless there was a weird run of teams that had lead guards and wanted to draft for need I don’t see him sliding to 8. I think you can trade up to 7 or maybe 6 in some scenarios but it was not a question of would you want to move from 20 to 7/8 and I’d assume Kas/Jihnson and the other top 4 guys are gone. I’m just not seeing it as super beneficial I guess. If it’s cheap then by all means. Not sure Key is cheap and I’d guess he’s still in our future plans. Even if he’s not Lisa Al Gaib

That was the whole premise of the deal tho is if one of those guys fell.

Not as far as I know.
It was keyonte and a first. The word "another" might have caused confusion. Sorry for the poor wording.

Change the word "another" to "a"

We give up keyonte, who I like better than anyone we draft at 8, plus a first.

Kas has defended poorly in games that aren't close. But he has defended pretty well otherwise.

I think Kas ends up a better defender + a light-years-better playmaker.

I like Keyonte, btw. I've been a consistent supporter.

It has been reiterated numerous times that the trade would be dependent on someone we really like slipping. I would not trade up if one of the seemingly-consensus top-6 players were not there.

I personally would do it for Wolf without blinking.

Ya I wouldn't trade Key and the T-wolves pick for Kasparas for example. But its ok if other would do that trade. No one knows how good Kas will be, how good Keyonte will be, or how good the player picked with wolves pick will be.
I just know that I believe that Keyonte will be good and maybe even an all star level so I dont really want to trade him unless its for more of a sure thing.
 
I'm a big Kasparas fan, but I wouldn't trade Keyonte and a quality first for him. I still believe in Keyonte and think he will have a big 3rd year jump

I’m a little lost. All I kept hearing is that the draft is trash after like pick 12, but pick 20 is suddenly a quality 1st?
 
@Saint Cy... I like the shout out to Flemming. He definitely pops on the highlights.

If Minny slips then he would be the prize foe them doing so imho. He reminds me of Taylor Hendricks. And I don't think you can have too many players like Taylor Hendricks (so long as they are not injured).

That was a great listen, thanks fellas. For someone who knows sweet FA about US college players other than the headliners very very informative. Clearly you all have an amazing depth of knowledge and really appreciate you sharing it.

Also Cy truly sounds exactly like the sociopath I would have imagined he would lol.
