Also this thread title is a LIE! It was Bill Simmons who said if the Jazz want Harris they should trade down.

It's interesting to me that Bill Simmons (who's as big of a Celtics homer as you can find) doesn't want the Jazz to draft Aaron Gordon because he him to go to Boston.

I found myself agreeing with his reasoning too. If I'm drafting top 5, I either want a basketball freak of nature who can score at will - or I want a guy who is emotional, passionate, hard-working, athletic and has room to improve. Gordon fills all those qualities. Plus he's a solid defender and a team leader.

Wiggins, Parker or Gordon. That should be the priority.

....speakin about jobs, how in the world did Scoop Jackson ever land one with ESPN? He's void of any insight or knowledge of the game of basketball.....and he needs a couple thousand dollars worth of dental work on his teeth!

I don't think the Jazz stay at pick 5. They either trade up or trade down, if they do stay at 5 Gordon may be the pick. I have read Gordon has already changed his shot and is improving, so maybe he can become a shooter to go with all his other great traits. The Jazz need shooters...that is why I am so afraid of him.

Do you think the Jazz roll the dice on trading up for Embiid, to guarantee getting him, knowing that him not playing this season puts us back in the lottery again next year?

I hope the Jazz trade their last 2 picks and move up to get a knockdown shooter this year. If Embiid did make it back, we drafted a knockdown shooter this year and get another player in next years lottery, do you think that would make us a championship contender? Man am I ready to get this draft over with!

I really like Rose. You might think he has some bad ideas here, but he isn't scared to go outside the box and doesn't conform to the group think. Yeah, it is bad sometimes, but he has made some bold predictions and have them turn out right. He does use his NBA player perspective to give interesting takes about different subjects.

Jalen is dumb. Flat out one of the worst out there and somehow he keeps landing gigs. Cavs should still take Embiid? Jazz take a guy 10 spots earlier than projected? Talks out of his *** a lot and doesn't have backup for what he says.

On a fab 5 note, I like Chris Webber but found this exchange between him and Frank Isola funny.

Jalen says Saric should be the Kings pick because he is a "facilitator" and he can "curse out Cousins" and nobody will understand him. I honestly don't know how he has a job. If he's around to just be an idiot and try to be funny, great, but he offers no insight.

Um, Clown, I don't know how to tell you this, but... They are. They are good enough to play in the nba, which is amazing, but neither one is a starter in this league.
 
I'm a fan of Harris, but not at #5. If they pick their highest rated player at 5 and then have a chance to trade up for him, I'd be ecstatic. I think he's a great player.
