What's new

Jazz 1st Round selection will be...

I'm really hoping it's either Lonnie Walker or Donte Divincenzo. We need another young player that is completely unphased and just brings it, someone that can run with a young stud like Mitchell.

One of my relatives is a huge Maryland fan. Said Huerter stinks on d and is raw and basically fine if we just want a guy to come in and shoot the 3. Sort of reminds me of that elite 3 point shooter about 5-7 years ago. Forget his name. He bounced around a bunch. Was on the Nets a couple years.

Or Jason Kapono?

I think we end up with KBD. I don’t think Okobo gets past SA. In a shocker I will say that Donte goes before we pick. Milwaukee or Minny pick him up.

On a side note: Watching the mock draft on EPSN2 last night, I was amused when one analyst referred to a prospect (Collin Sexton?) as a possible "Donavan Mitchell."

So now if you want to describe a draft prospect (guard) as having a high upside, you compare him to Donavan Mitchell. It sure didn't take long for our kid to arrive.

I really wish Zhaire Smith was a tiny bit longer. He’ll likely be gone by the time we draft anyway but I like his smooth game. And he’s only 18.

I think I want Kevin Hervey in the 2nd round. Love his size, shooting and feel for the game. His rebounding numbers concern me some though.

If he was longer he'd be a lottery pick.

I hope somehow he drops or DL find a way to move up a little to snatch him.
I'm curious as to how the front office feels about him.

I think we want Donte D and I hope that's the case. I'm pretty sure Tony Jones has been talking about Donte D too.

I think it's going to be Khyri Thomas or Divincenzo. Whichever one is still on the board.

I've seen one mock draft (Bleacher Report) out of about 15 where Divincenzo isn't on the board at 21.

If they're both still on the board I'd pick Thomas - Donte is intriguing (as are most sharpshooting SG's) but I feel like I need to talk myself into liking him.

Thomas is a late bloomer with a high IQ....a la DM. He could have unrealized upside. Has sleeper pick written all over him. I'd feel very comfortable picking him at 21.
