Jazz 2017/18 Playoff Bus! All Aboard!

I assumed the Spurs won last night (I turned off the TV before it was over). I just looked at the standings to see how far we fell and realized the Lakers won in overtime. Thanks, Kuzma!

Jazz need to come out focused and dialed in from the opening tipoff. Think this needs to be approached as a must win game for Utah to keep home court advantage.

How long are we gonna be saying that Boston will rule the EC soon though? I agree their roster is insane on paper, but health is important and the more years they lose to injuries the sooner the payday comes for all those young players.
i dont think anyone has being saying it. Even the Celtics werent expecting to contend this season...and that was with a healthy Hayward.
Tatum and Brown have developed much faster than anticipated. Morris was a great addition and Rozier is a very competent rotation player.

What i think is exciting, and good for thd league, is there will be at least 3 teams that could emerhe from the East next year: Boston, Philly and Toronto. And from the West: Houston and GS.

And one or two other teams depending on the decisions by Lebron, George and where Kwahi ends up. Plus darkhorses like Utah, Minnesota and Milwaukee who just need a key acquisition and health to move up a notch. Even the Pelicans, if Cousins returns at close to 100%.

Gonna be a couple cap casualties... also I remember when Gordon signed thinking why join a hobbled IT and old Horford if you want to win a title. Kyrie is not an iron man and now Brown and Tatum are more established. Horford could have a steep decline (might be okay not overly reliant on vertical athleticism) if he loses a step his effectiveness on D could go down the tube.

Really think if Hayward had a do-over he might stay here. If philly gets a FA this year (PG or LBJ) I think they have a better setup than Boston.

I think Kyrie can extend his contract this offseason... wonder if they can’t agree if Kyrie gets the IT treatment.

just curious, Where do you think those top three teams in the East would be in the West? 3 to 6? Higher? Lower?

The East still has a significant lack of big names to compete with for all-star spots.
I think that that fedora-at-heart's primary motivation was to make all-star games cuz he's sick of getting friend-zoned by other players and the media. He's a really good player that I wish stayed, but he's also a sad, insecure little dork.

im pumped up as hell for this game tonight. It's crazy that we're in the 4th seed, but we only have 3 more wins than the clips. This is a huge game. Got to go out there and give it all these next 4 games.

Tough question. Of the six, i know i dont give enough respect to Toronto. Yet there they are, ready to clinch the top seed in the East. Boston had the best record, without Hayward, before injuries finally caught up to them. Stevens is a helluva coach and they've had the best defense. But Philly with Simmons, Embiid and Lebron? Damn!

But how do you rank any of those teams higher than GS or Houston? I think all of the teams would be capable of 60 wins. Would come down to health and maybe other acquisitions. I think of all the teams, Boston might be better set up to withstand key injuries.

Im just hoping DL can make some moves. Losing Favs would be a blow if equal talent cant be acquired. Not worried about X; i think DL is prepared to match almost any offer. And that leaves Utah needing one more shooter, IMO...unless Jae or Royce can improve like Ingles did.

Meh, not worried about Denver or the Clippers. If the Jazz were to lose their last 4 games and somehow slip out of the playoffs, it would mean they didn't really deserve to make it.

But now I'm greedy. All the other teams have guven Utah a path to the 4th seed. Would be a tremendous achievement for Utah to get home court.

just checked, the clips have a top 7 offense. They can score the ball, I think this game comes down to our defensive prowess. Handle it!!!!!!!!!!

Every time we start getting overly excited and hyped about moving further up we suffer an excruciating loss. Ya'll are jinxing us here

The only time you can suffer an excruciating loss is when you are riding high. Damn the jinxes, full hype ahead!

Tobias Harris is so underrated. I wanted him way back when and would be elated to have him now. He is better than the current version of Blake Griffin Clips killed it in that trade.

Hopefully Lou sucks tonight and Austin Rivers has a bad game... both those guys seem to kill us.

I have always like lou Williams........ And Lebron. We should get one of those guys.

I've always liked Harris too! I'd rather have him than Jabari Parker.

Here's a thread about Harris from years ago. To prove that both of us have always liked him. :D

Just bumped it... thx.

Was funny to see how we viewed tweeners then and stretch playmaking fours now.

Could have snaked the guy then or when he was traded later in the season. Not sure what we could offer to get him now... I think he’d be great for us

I do too but not sure we had a great shot to get either... maybe could have had Lou if we gave up a pick to LA but think we had a couple chances to land Tobias.
