Jazz 2017/18 Playoff Bus! All Aboard!

The bus has seen better days, Stoked is strapped to the tank and hgb looks like a tired driver. I'm still sitting in back chugging kool-aid and watching Rudy highlights, but damn is it getting tough.

I think we need to stop for some refreshments. Bus is not happy.
Nuggets, Pelicans and Blazers all playing today. I guess we need to catch two of those three (or the Clippers) for the playoffs.

Actually all 3. Clippers are right there with them as well. Jazz are 5 games out and will need tie breakers. The Tank is clearly the way to go. I don't see the FO embracing it though.

Go mediocrity!

A tank is never the way to go in my book, but the bus does seem a bit flat these days. Wins by Pelicans, Nuggets and Blazers tonight.

Well tonight can range from really bad to really good and anywhere in between. Lots of game impacting both The Bus and The Tank.

Jazz @ Kings
Nuggets @ Clippers
Lakers @ Thunder
Knicks @ Grizzlies
Warriors @ Bulls
Spurs @ Nets
Pelicans @ Hawks
Wizards @ Hornets

Bold is for The Bus and italics is for The Tank. Some games are actually pulling double duty. Don't let us down Lakers, Clippers and Hawks. Still hate the Lakers and hope they get stuck in mediocrity forever.

Good job! Now it's really getting complicated. (Although I don't really think the Spurs/Nets game has any significant bus impact...)

Yeah, that shouldn't be bolded. Habit I guess? lol

This has been another season derailed by injuries. The Exum injury first and then the Gobert injury being the biggest of the many.

I dont know what direction the team will go but we are not that far out of the playoffs.

We have played the second hardest schedule of the season.

We will get our best player last season back from injury and we also are getting Exum back.

This team could very well make a few trades, get healthy and get into the easier part of the schedule and really make a run.

If that is what the Jazz think is going to happen, they should really trade their pick, if they dont think that then they need to move as many people as possible that arent part of our future and hope to get really lucky in the draft. Or at the very least move some players for better fits.

Great post.

This is on NBA.com power rankings this week:

  • Toughest schedules so far: 1. Philadelphia, 2. Utah, 3. Chicago
  • Easiest schedules so far: 1. Houston, 2. Washington, 3. Boston
  • Schedule strength is based on cumulative opponent record, and adjusted for home vs. away and days of rest before a game.

I cant find the full rankings so far this season though. The only thing I can find is the ranking for the entire season that came out before the year started. I am wondering where the teams above us and below us are at so far and what the prediction is for the rest of the season strength of schedule is. Jazz were supposed to have the 3rd hardest schedule this season overall but I am guessing we have got through most of the hard part and now it gets easier than average.

Good night for the bus, with Jazz win + Pels loss to Hawks. Clippers/Nuggets was a wash, I guess.
Pacers @ Blazers only bus game tonight.

Need to get the bus back on the front page. Last night didn't matter to the bus at all, but I guess it was good for the tank.
Next up:
Jazz @ Hawks
Bulls @ Pels
Blazers @ Nuggets (but sort of win-win)
Wolves @ Clippers

Kristin Kenney is now in charge

Check out this slick new bus, we've got! Wonder how Pels will cope with Cousins being out. We've got a lot of games to catch up, though.

So, we need to catch Nuggets (or Blazers or Pelicans), and the Clippers... Nuggets barely lost, but Clippers traded Griffin for... Not much, really.

Griffin has been traded.

Cousins suffered a season ending injury.

Nuggets schedule gets tougher.

Jazz schedule gets easier.

It’s going to be VERY hard to make up ground, but the bottom of the playoff picture is very vulnerable right now.
