It doesn't matter if they own a tie-breaker against us because there is not going to be a tie. Denver is not making the playoffs. Their next 3 games are @Philly, @Toronto and @OKC. I've said it countless times in this thread, they suck on the road (13-23 on the road as of today). 5 of their last 9 are on the road. And 4 of those road games are against playoff teams. 8 of their last 9 games overall are against playoff teams. They are out. They were out long ago. If they beat Philly the only possible affect it could have on the Jazz is to help DM get ROTY.

Okay Nostradamus. Not a single voter will make a decision based on the result of some random game, or even a difference of 1 game in the standings.

DM doesn't care about personal accolades. There are plenty of rookie who won it and aren't even in the league anymore, its about the playoffs and winning the chip for him. That's all.

ROY means a lot less than getting to the playoffs and making some noise once they get there.

If it happens. . . great. If not, oh well. Let’s enjoy this incredible season by our new franchise player and just appreciate exactly how rare it is to ever get a player like this - much less in the manner that the Jazz did.
 
blake griffin got roty in the 2010 season. Who else was drafted in his "red shirt rookie year" ? PG13, gorgon haywood, cousins, john wall. AND harden, derozen in the same draft as his.

rule of being a true rookie is stupid. Simmon's shouldn't even be able to qualify, same as blake shouldn't have been able to qualify. But whatever, give it to simmons. I could care less, nor could dm.
 
If Mitchell wins ROY it'll be because Mitchell earned ROY, not because of a game Philly lost to Denver.

DM is a PR genius. He used a Daryl Griffiths and a Vince Carter Jersey in the slam dunk contest for heavens sake. He knows what to say and do. I'm sure he would be happy to win it. It probably isn't his top priority though. To think he really doesn't care at all, I have a hard time believing that.

They’ve been so bad lately. I was listening to a thing by Adam Silver about smoothing the schedule so that it’s more even and having the top 16 teams in the league make the playoffs.

Pretty sure that the East barely gets represented in the league’s current form if that were the case.
