Jazz 2017/18 Playoff Bus! All Aboard!

Pels and Wolves both on the road tonight.

Cmon Suns and Lakers!

I love nights where we don’t play. No stress.

Tomorrow could be sweet.

Thunder at Rox. Pels at Dubs. Both teams we need to lose on the road vs superior opponents.

And Blazers at Spurs. A loss by either team is solid in some way.

Oh yeah, and Nuggets at Clips. They both suck.

Difference between 3 and 4 is minimal to me; what's more important is who you match up with.

I'd assume avoid OKC in the first round. Ideally, I'd like to play NO, but SAS may be more realistic.

Yeah but the Rox and Dubs are coasting now, waiting for the POs. See the near collapse against Porty? Late season games are hard to get a handle on who shows up and who doesn't.

I guess I should be slightly concerned with the Pelicans catching us. It also looks like there’s a chance the Pelicans/Spurs winner last game of the season plays the Jazz in the PO

Not totally. Kerr was pissed after their loss to the Pacers so I think they come out vs the Pels ultra focused, trying to get some momentum and into the playoff basketball mindset a little early since they’ve been so erratic. And the Rox are still the Rox and at home.

I'd prefer to play the Pelicans, Spurs, Wolves, Blazers, Thunder in that order. The Thunder worry me the most of the likely teams.

Yep I agree. Here’s what I’d love to see:

Houston/San Antonio
Golden State/Minnesota
Portland/Oklahoma City
Utah/New Orleans

Just gotta get home court. New Orleans is by far the preferable opponent, whether we get the 4 or 3 seed

Sort of wish we could get a prime more efficient Rasheed Wallace here. Loved that dude. He'd an almost perfect stretch 4 for us. Only almost because his shooting wasn't good. 35% from 3 a lot of years. Loved his flexibility on offense and defense and attitude though.

Id like to see...
HOU v OKC
GS v MINNY
POT v Den
Jazz v Spurs

Potland v spurs would also be good. I would want to see lamarcus lose to his former team.

Gobert/Favors is easily the closest 4/5 comparison to Wallace & Wallace in the NBA right now. If the Jazz want to emulate the 2004 Pistons, they have the frontcourt to do it. Just have to keep them both around.

Rasheed shot the 3 at a respectable rate. He's not a good comp with favors imo.

They're not superior at 80%, which is the best it seems like you can get from them now. GSW were blown out and Rockets nearly lost a 15+ pts lead to the Portland reserves. I don't trust either team at all at tihs point.

Bummer about the W's recent struggles, I don't think they take the foot off the gas for the 2nd to last game in SLC. Seems to me like they're going to want to try to get their rhythm back before the playoffs.

Didn’t we smoke the Warriors to close out last season?

ETA: second to last game of the season, won by 6, no Hayward and no Klay. Rudy with 18 boards.

I was thinking the same thing but for the Warriors it's their final game. They may just wrap it up.

Not for the three, but Favors pick and roll and midrange game is comparable and his size/defense makes him a better comparison than most others that you can find right now.

Most 4’s who can shoot threes are not good defenders. While Faves isn’t a deep threat, he is still an offensive threat.

That’s why Gobert/Favors resembles Wallace & Wallace. Best defender in the league paired with a solid two way player at the 4.

It’s their last game... I’m not even sure Klay and KD get on a plane. With the run of injuries they have had play it safe is the best route.
