Jazz 2017/18 Playoff Bus! All Aboard!

Except the Thunder are the 5th best rebounding team in the NBA, Utah is 20th. Utah is also 20th in turning over the ball and OKC creates a lot of turnovers. They're the only team in the WC, other than the Rockets that we have a losing record against.
I don't care who we face in the playoffs, not scared of anyone. Pretty sure the Jazz feel the same way.

Jazz not only dont have any all-stars this year we have 0 all-stars ever on the roster. That has to be more rare. Gobert has been all-NBA but never an all-star. We had JJ who was an all-star but he obviously is gone.
@Saint Cy of JFC

OK I've cross referenced the info from here: https://www.basketball-reference.com/teams/SAS/all_star.html and here :
http://www.landofbasketball.com/yearbyyear/1998_1999_playoffs_brackets.htm

If I'm not mistaken, San Antonio Spurs were 1st seed and became champions in 1998-1999 NBA Playoffs and they had no All-Stars that year.

Needless to say, I've stopped looking after it since no topping that one.

Edit: I forgot that that was the L/O season. Will keep digging.
BTW that season already had no All Star games but had an All NBA team which included Duncan so Spurs cannot be an example for us.

Moving on...

2001-2002 season: 2nd seed in East: Pistons. No All Stars.
I am pretty sure Jerry Stackhouse was an all-star that year for the Pistons.

Lonzo Ball (knee contusion), Brandon Ingram (concussion protocol) and Kyle Kuzma (ankle) are all out for Sunday against Utah.

Kyle Kuzma being out is good for us, but i'd rather lonzo ball play, he has straight up shot the lakers out of games on multiple occasions.

It'll probably be a boring game. Oh well, we got GSW and Portland coming up. Nothing wrong with an easy win.

He appears to have represented Pistons a year before that according to this site.

Pistons have lost 1-4 to Celtics in Conf. Semi’s. Now the real question is how far a roster with no acknowledged All Stars go in the post season. I haven’t searched after 2001 yet but I have a feeling making the Conference Finals would be an NBA first.

To be a real contender, the Jazz need another 30-pt scorer at one of the forward positions. The Ingles/Crowder/Favors rotation doesn't make us a contender. Plus, we're likely going to lose Favors in the offseason.
I would say that Houston doesn't have 2 30 point scorers. Neither does Cleveland. And the jazz play better defense than both those teams. Defense matters.

Oh, you are right I saw his wiki page said he was a 2X all-star in 2000 and 2001. But that was for the 99-00 and 00-01 seasons.

Jumping Joe Ingles will be and All Star next year.
