Utah Jazz put themselves into position to win the game in regulation, OT, 2nd OT, and 3rd OT but just cannot make that final shot. As jazzfanatical( https://jazzfanatical.wordpress.com/ ) points out the bench reactions from the jazz players are entertainment in itself.

All last night I was thinking that this was completely on Corbin for not putting in youth sooner, which may be true, but this thread has reminded me that my previous gripe was that crunch time meant stagnant offense and Jefferson isolation. Also when Burks and Favors finally did get in, the Hawks finally won.

Sap really needed to hit that first one....damn. He made a nice move to get open, and couldn't finish.

I wanna know how the hell Jefferson ended up guarding JJ on his game tying 3 in the 3rd OT? There was no switch or anything he was just guarding him from the get go.

I don't know if he thought he wasn't going to have enough time or something because he kind of did a little push shot instead of pulling up for a normal jumper. That was our best opportunity though.

Wrong, the coach let the game slip away already before Burks and Favors finally got in.

Just goes to show that we have the pieces but we don't have that go to guy

Millsap has been that guy as of late. It didnt go down last night. It happens. I wonder if Burks will be that piece you are all talking about.

If it was going to make that big of a difference, I think 2:47 is plenty of time to make up 6 pts no?
3:25 Favors subs for Jefferson (130-125 Hawks lead)
2:47 Burks in for Millsap (131-125 Hawks)
Final 139-133 Hawks. They were within 2 pts with 1:15 left, but then Joe Johnson happened.

Burks and Favors were not able to make an impact in the final ~3 min IMHO.
