Jazz at Blazers - DEMARRE ROLLS ON

Winning this game makes me want to vomit. Sorry playoff guys, but this is crap. We will be stuck with this exact same team next year. How exciting.

we won't be the same team. we'll have some of the same guys, yes, but we'll be a playoff-tested jazz team. that stuff matters.

Nobody has remarked how accurate my Gamethread prediction was, (just like most of the other ones this year)

JAzz in a blowout! and Demarre Rolls on!!!! concussion and all

CARROLL THE WARRIOR!

Portland sometimes goes by the nickname of Rip City, kind of like Boston/Beantown.

Rip City was a term used by former Blazer radio play-by-play guy Bill Shonley (sic) beginning in the 70s when the Blazers scored a basket. The phrase caught on and has since come to be a catch word associated with the Blazers.

Whoops, I see someone else already answered this. All you need is one more confirmation. (Isn't there something magical having to do with three witnesses?)

Man Hayward is looking better and better. He mostly scores in transition and on kick out 3 pt shots. He creates off the dribble for others. He is learning how to get to the line. If he could get a Paul Pierce-esque mid post, then I would believe the All-star talk.

I know Portland wasn't playing that great of D but Kanter showed a little ability to reverse the ball on layups.

Seriously. Al was defending a driving guard, the guy misses and falls kind of hard to the ground. Utah board, they were running and Al was helping the guy up. I like Al but I'd bench him for the rest of the game for that play.

That was Johnny Flynn he helped up. They were teammates and good friends in Minni. I've never seen that happen, but I think Al was helping his buddy up and also felt bad his team was getting totally worked over.

While you may be correct, this is AJ's problem in a nutshell. Big Al is too nice. While he may frequently put up All Star numbers, at the end of the day he'll never be a winner because he's always going up against someone who wants it just a little bit more than he does.

You're right. 19-20 year old basketball players never get any better. /sarcasm

OKC was an 8 seed just a couple years ago. So was Memphis (admittedly without Gay), but you act like this team has hit a ceiling. No, the 8 seed jazz from a couple years ago hit a ceiling. This one has not and has a lot of room to grow.
