What's new

Jazz at Bulls 7:00 CST

This team is unlike the Ricky teams in that I felt there was little room for error with them in that when Ricky struggled offensively we seemed to struggle. And we didn’t have offensive weapons around him and Mitchell to pick up the slack.

This doesn’t feel like that team. Bogey already fits in so damn seamlessly. Clarkson for the most part too. And I guess this team simply feels really, really good at managing games. That’s a very underrated skill in sports. Qb’s who can just manage games can actually win Super Bowls for God’s sake. And this type of manage is different because it’s a different sport but we seem to have very good situational iq’s and know how to manage these situations and how to execute late in games very well and it doesn’t feel so nerve wracking because of limited offensive options either. We feel, complete, I guess I’d say.

Yep. Great post. We relied heavily on Mitchell to score in the past but look at tonight Bogey took over. Feels so good to have multiple guys who can do that. I bet there will be a game or two where Clarkson does that as well.

LaVine reminds me a lot of Westbrook. Both super athletic and erratic. Can get hot at times but generally take a ton of shots and score a ton of points on bad efficiency. Both not the best shooters but can score. You can’t and won’t win with that type of player as your best player.
Both UCLA.

I didn't watch it all, but it's pretty good to win when bogey goes 0-5 from three and we shoot 36% as a team. 9 out of the last 10. We're picking up some steam in this easy part of the schedule which is easy to screw up and really important. I continue to be amazed by Gobert.

Shout out to Bradley and Mudiay. Bradley’s minutes in the second half were legitimately good. And Mudiay had a sneaky good night. He’s way easier for me to handle when he isn’t the main gunner off the bench (and Joe isn’t rotting in that unit).

Everyone looks very comfortable in the last two mins of a close game. This will be important during the playoffs.

Another thing, none of these victories lately have been all that impressive (other than the Clippers), but put together they have all been very impressive.

Rudy was the ****ing man tonight. What greatness.

He was. Which is why I find it imperative that we find him an adequate backup. He's having to play 35+ mins and save us on defense. I just don't think that's sustainable without him wearing down or getting injured.

Fan voting is a joke. It's a bunch of 13 year olds with nothing better to do than sit on their phone all day and vote for Duhbron. They should come up with a system based on stats that determines who is an all-star.
This.
If they want fan involvement then let them vote on uniforms or halftime entertainment or something.

Agreed. The foul was totally unintentional and completely fine. A regular foul. Nothing remotely intentional or flagrant about it.
While I agree with you and archie, blows to the head have to be flagrants. Otherwise you create a slippery slope. Let's say a dude is getting pwned all game by another dude and is frustrated. Would be really easy to make it look like you were going for the ball and intentionally hit a guy in the head.
Then you have to expect the officials to determine intent when it might not be possible. I could keep my eyes on the ball and swing near the ball and intentionally hit you in the head without it looking intentional.

On this specific play I don't think it was intentional.... In fact I'm quite sure it wasn't. But it could have been intentional and looked exactly the same if the dude was a good enough actor.

Unintentional hit to the arm should be the same as an unintentional hit to the head.

It was a weak *** call and weak asses eat that **** up.
No.
Getting hit in the arm isn't as dangerous as getting hit in the head. I know you know this. Your comment was strange.

Can you imagine guys in the UFC having a strategy to punch the opponent in the arm rather than the head to win fights? Ya me neither.

This.

The guy tried to block the ball and his forearm hit Rudy and his contact came out.

It's just a common foul to me and the flagrant was weak af.
It was his elbow rather than forearm..... Though that doesn't matter since it was a blow to the head.
